When I started I had a lot more calories that I was able to eat, because I weighed more. The more I lose, the less calories I seem to be allowed :P Plus...it doesn't need to be that hard-not if you're doing it right. I eat chocolate every single day...you just work it in. Isn't that the great thing?! You eat and exercise…

Ewwww! Sourdough people! :P I like the multigrains with nuts and seeds. When in college, I would eat an entire loaf of french bread in 1 meal....

My husband doesn't have as much to lose as I do and he doesn't have specific goals but does want to trim up a bit...sometimes he'll do Wii Just Dance with me and we're getting a gym membership today (though you already have that). Another thing is that we started this week-take a few workouts that are under 5 minutes each…

After seeing "You Are What You Eat" (free on youtube) I've been wanting to do a 1-week photo of my intake for the week. I have a feeling that I wouldn't be seeing as many colorful fruits and veggies as I should ;) I hope to do it soon, it will be a challenge for sure!

I've been wanting to make some bread...

I think it's crazy how people are all over this like "how dare you proclaim the McDonald's only diet is salvation when you will look skinny on the outside and your arteries will clog in 2 months and you will keel over"...He makes a good point and it's not proclaiming to be the new "Jared Subway Diet". We have control of so…

Just popping by to say: yes-tasty, I've eaten the donut bacon cheeseburger with egg (and almost died, that thing is nasty and gross....but somehow still worth doing it once in your life). Weight Watchers shared the same strip mall as Baskin Robbins here for YEARS as well as the same parking lot as a burger joint. Maybe it…

Yes, I eat it pretty much daily. I did, however, have my husband lock our stash up in the safe that he has the key to and he has to get it for me if I want some, so I make healthier choices during the day when he's at work/school. It has helped a ton just to mentally know they're not as easy to grab, but helps me mentally…

Amen! I have mastered the art of tank tops under shirts that would show too much. And at that, not all tank tops are created equal. Either you want attention, or you're too lazy to find something that fits somewhat decently.

This is actually my next big goal!!! 10/11 more pounds and I will match my driver's license weight and not void the warranty on my new exercise trampoline :P I will say though...in my defense...I'm pretty sure the last couple times I went to the DMV, they didn't ask me WHAT my weight was but rather "Do you want to keep…

Oh My Lanta! I know what you mean!!! It's about 500x worse in the dry winter! Last time I walked outside for a while I wore long johns under my jeans and it helped.

Do it :D

My worst binging was in high school. I remember eating an entire bag of snickers minis one day. I remember eating most of a cake another day. I remember hiding food. I remember once being so sick of all the food I ate that I thought of going the bulimic route but 2 things held me back.... 1-I HATE throwing up. Like I've…

tagging for Saturday's dinner :)

Do you have to do this on a phone app or can you do it on a computer? Interesting!
-
Ship some to me packed in ice and I'll try a few recipes, let you know which is the best, and then you'll know how to cook it next time ;)
-
Sounds yummy-might just try it for the flavor :)

I'm counting. But we don't drink alcohol and we're staying in for the night...maybe if we get wild we'll get fast food....but probably just eat like regular and get out the Christmas chocolate. Hoping to get in enough exercise to not go over but I'll be ok if I do :)

I think we save a ton. Not only portion sizes, but it's a lot cheaper to buy ingredients and cook yourself than buying frozen dinners. Also, it depends on what you're buying. It's a special treat when we make portabello pizzas because the mushrooms cost so much. But things like carrots and celery are dirt cheap! Plus-pop,…

I am all about the free meals! (With my husband being in school and me only working part time...yeah...) I hear ya there! My recommendation-assume it's always the high (850), and if you want to cut down then avoid the sugary/carb laden parts, focus on the veggies. I don't see a problem with putting more carbs during the…

I took a picture of myself at 25 lbs with a 25 lb bag of carrots at the supermarket, I got a couple of funny looks lol. Maybe by the time I lose 50, I'll also be strong enough to have a bag in each arm ;)

I'm a night owl and evening snacker :P I always make sure to leave some calories leftover for night snacking. And if I go over, I usually turn on the wii and box it off or dance it off. My main New Year's Resolution will be to go to bed at a healthier time each evening, so that should help reduce intake :)

THAT is awesome! Great job! I believe that it's about changing your lifestyle. It's so tempting to try pills and fad diets (trust me, I started trying them with my mom when I was as young as elementary school!!!) but it's so rewarding to know that doing it this way is sustainable. And sometimes I remind myself that I won't…

Thanks so much for all your your support! And reminder that slow and steady is the way to go, and that any success is still a success :)

Thanks for the compliments :) I know it's not a competition, but sometimes it's hard to be proud of my losses when a friend of mine has averaged 3 lbs a week for months. But I know I'm doing my best :)

For me, it's lose 50 more pounds by my 1st sprint triathlon in August....continue in awesomeness...
-
I will be doing a sprint triathlon this August as well. I still have a lot to lose and lots of prep to do before surviving it, lol. 30 pounds down since July 27th 2013, hoping another 50 at least before I get to the sprint-triathlon. I'll be looking for gym promotions this week so I can get a membership and start training…

I promised myself that I would never hit that 300 mark either. July 27th of this year I weighed in at 291, I've lost 30 pounds since then. It has been hard lately, but I have to just remind myself that I like the feel of seeing success on the scale more than I like feeding my face. I am stubborn and filling out my calories…
