Nearly everything.

I don't have a "sweet tooth", I have a "Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese" tooth. I'm standing firm all day today though.

I'm with those who suggest exercising. Don't approach it as a punishment, though. You don't want to equate exercise with a punitive measure, or that will backfire. However, I've found it helpful to exercise and note the calories burned versus eaten. That helps me approach my next binge temptation with the knowledge of what…

Nice. Thanks for sharing this. Where did the info originate from?

I'm just posting so I can see the discussion. Kettlebells are a great idea, so I'd like to hear the answers too. :)

I'd prefer "the dead" be moved to the bottom of the heap (wow, that sounded so medieval). Perhaps Tony already confessed his slackerness since the topic name included "(so easy even a slacker can do it!)"? Personally, I think anyone who creates an elaborate spreadsheet and then motivates dozens of stranges to burn tens of…

Sounds like your answer may be here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/6556-the-answers-to-the-questions?page=1

Yep. Twisted my ankle on Sunday, lost a life, but I'm back this morning with another 800 cals burned. I have a question though. I thought we had a minimum calories burned to qualify for entering them that day. Wasn't it 300 cals? If so, looks like we should prune some of the entries.I don't think that will kill anyone off,…

I'd also like to burn off the real Jabba's calories next time around. I see we've zero'd all calories from those who have dropped out. Who cares? At the rate we're going, Jabba's going down before November! What a wuss. Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle this morning, so I've missed today, and probably tomorrow. Tuesday,…

From: http://exercise.about.com/od/weightloss/a/The-Truth-About-The-Fat-Burning-Zone.htm The body does burn a higher percentage of calories from fat in the fat burning zone or at lower intensities. However, at higher intensities (70-90% of your maximum heart rate), you burn a greater number of overall calories, which is…

Wow! What a change and congratulations on the transformation. Thanks for sharing. It'll inspire me for a while. And I appreciate your perspective about getting fit versus simply dropping pounds. Something to learn from.

Not sure. They could just be using different algorithms to calculate your calories burned. The most common reason I hear about why cheaper HRMs aren't accurate is that some don't ask you for your current weight. There's no way to calculate calories burned anywhere near accurately if they don't have your weight. In the end,…

Oh yeah. I'm in. Great fun! I'll stay another 10 - 20 mins tomorrow on the elliptical just to kick it his butt. Ha! @tameko2: depends on what you weigh. I burn 700+ calories on the Elliptical for 45 mins according to my Polar FT60.

You can do this. Keep in touch with others -- add people here as friends and we'll keep you motivated. That's what's helped me.

Congratulations! I hope to be there myself in about 3 weeks (though I'm a 6 ft tall male, so I won't be anywhere near 120!)

Here's mine: Under my calorie goals at least 30 minutes cardio Full 8 glasses of water I know this is modest, but I'm starting out a little defeated today. I gained weight yesterday, resetting my current weight to my starting weight. It's time to focus on the basics again and make sure I'm doing everything correctly.

I'm in the same boat too. Two weeks of being good dropped me a little more than three pounds, but that was all removed by a single day of overeating. Now, I'm back to zero pounds lost this morning. I weighed myself three times since I couldn't believe it. I won't give up, but it certainly took the wind out of my sails.

I'm up for the challenge. I'm currently at 220 and would love to be 180 by then. New Years Eve is a perfect deadline for me. I'm still trying to figure out my exercise routine, so this will help me make a decision and stick to it. I'm relatiely new here, so forgive the question: How does this work? Do we all check on on…

Can't see a difference? Look again! You look great, and your achievement is really motivating for the rest of us. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I might go with beccafreak's idea of the 30 DS working up to P90x. Though jellybaby's idea is good, the morning classes my gym offers look really intense, so I may switch to evenings (which is far less convenient). No Les Mills classes anywhere on the schedule. They have cycling classes in…

bump (since I posted it in the evening for most people).
