Does anyone know a good punishment for having random out of control binging? Sometimes i do it when im not even hungry and then just cant stop eating. i feel like with my personality it would work that if everytime i did that i lost something or had to do something. i know punishment sounds harsh but i think itll work in a healthy way

It probably won't. It just gets you into a negative cycle and way of thinking, which triggers more bingeing. Move on and try again, eventually you'll have the strength to stop a binge in its tracks.
Just speaking from personal experience. I used to binge and starve, the problem was the bingeing never stopped.0 -
The best punishment is to seek professional help in the form of a qualified eating disorder counselor0

By binging, you are punishing your health. Isn't that bad enough?0

How about, every time you binge, you have to sit down and really think about what was making you feel so out of control. If you keep doing it every time you binge, eventually you should have some good groundwork for working out ways to stop doing it. I have some binge limitation tactics on my blog, but here is something someone posted the other day, that has a lot of good information on :

When you feel like you can't stop eating...
Take a walk,
Pick up the phone & call a good freind,
Go brush your teeth,
Try the New Crest white strips,
Check your email,
Write down how you feel,
Clean out your hall closet,
Drink a really cold glass of water....
We eat for all sorts of reasons, Bored, Tired, Stressed, Angry, Hurt, For a feeling of control in our lives....
Somtimes the hard part is starting to recognize what our triggers are....0 -
I'm with those who suggest exercising. Don't approach it as a punishment, though. You don't want to equate exercise with a punitive measure, or that will backfire. However, I've found it helpful to exercise and note the calories burned versus eaten. That helps me approach my next binge temptation with the knowledge of what it'll take to balance it out. That may help your willpower. However, if it's emotionally based, willpower alone may not do it, and you'll need to address what's making you feel like binging in the first place.0
