For accountability, open your food diary. Helps keep it real.

I find adding active friends on here reading/watching your daily status updates to be good for accountability. The forums get a little stagnant at times (some of them) and you do not get alerts of replies (at least I do not). I won't have updated stats to use until July 1, but will do my best to contribute to keep this…

Priorities suck. Always get in the way of living. I need to make myself a priority. Ridiculously busy week planning for the weekend events. Plus tech issues all week. Major web server crash caused no end of trouble yesterday and today as well. Hopefully get it all squared away today so I can ignore it all weekend (and…

Long distance motorcycle ride. Sunday is 500 miles in 12 hours. Known as a Butt Builder.
-
Busy, as always. Busy planning and setting up for a major party this Saturday, then an Iron Butt ride on Sunday. How you doin'?

Dude, your a poet.

Sounds like an awesome time and a HUGE jump in power.

I have no real advice only an anecdote. I have tried more diets than I can count, and I can count high. 3 years ago I tried the 4 hour body for 6 or 7 weeks. It is a super low cal diet, very restrictive diet. I dropped 35 pounds, felt awesome, had loads of energy and enjoyed it. Sounds awesome, right? It was. *kitten*…

6km walk tonight. Music kept me motivated.

Mirrors, store windows and photos help with motivation. 5km walk around the park won out last night. See if I can do it again tonight.
-
I lose motivation daily...hourly...not sure I ever had any. Need to rethink what I thought I was thinking was a good thought to think. Determination precedes motivation but procrastination precedes everything. Maybe I will walk 5km tonight. Maybe I will ride my motorcycle 300km. I enjoy both and both have psychological…

I'll be the odd man out. 5 episodes in and still not loving it, yet still watching. Getting better, but not quite there. Vincent is a good actor, I like him, but he sucks at being Kingpin. Kingpin was always a larger than life character with extreme confidence and very well spoken. In this series he is nowhere near as…

I rarely plan ahead too much as life often changes too much. As is the case here. I had planned to rip around Lake Superior for a week. Now, looking like I will do nothing more than a few day trips. Whatever I can do in 1 day for under $50 including gas. Local tourism at it's finest :) Not ideal, but better than doing…

I have never really enjoyed DD as a comic and hated the movie version. Watched the first Netflix episode on Sunday and although I thought it was alright, it still does not jump out at me as being awesome. I will probably watch the whole series, but mostly because I have high hopes for it getting better and better.

I have never had a partner, but see a real benefit. More so in a local partner to push you in person than a virtual one.

Every scale I set foot on does the same. My own scale, scales at friends and family. Digital or analog. I need to get on/off 10 times and use whatever number comes up the most frequently. Good thing I only step on once a month.

I tend to eat when stressed or pissed off. In both cases I also skip any form of exercise. Dunno why. Pretty sure if I was a happy guy I would also be a trim guy, but instead I am the grim guy who is far from a slim guy. Maybe, just maybe, if the world stopped pissing me off I would be better off :) But that is probably…

Went from doing nothing 7 days a week to doing at least some form of exercise for at least 15 minutes a day 4-7 days a week. This month I seek to do 30 minutes a day 4 days a week and at least 15 minutes the other 3.

Measurements can really help with motivation when the scale shows little to no movement.

Not a lot of sunlight no. Work in an office with a tiny window and it is winter. So dark when I get to work and dark when I leave. Loads of sun in summer though.

I used to do a lot of cycling a couple years ago with my oldest son and always used Map My Ride. For no reason other than using the GPS to map where we went. Riding random roads all over the city, was cool to see where we went on a map. Total distance max/min/average speed. We rode 70 km one day, and on the very last…

Working on getting in to a sleep study clinic. Won't be for a while though.

The app is deceptively named "Sleep". :) . For Android robot icon with a nightcap on. Mattress is about 5 years old now. Sleep has been a life time issue though. Regardless bed, or couch.

You sound a hell of a lot like me, except I have not yet met my goal weight. Ever. Time is now.
-
Exactly Allan. Scale is not the be all end all.
-
Complicated? Nope, not by a long shot. But not easy either. If it was, places like MFP may never exist. Eat less, do more is a motto I have adopted this year.

My wife was/is never supportive of any diet. She "tried" to diet with me once. Failed within weeks. Mostly she bakes when I say I am going to try and diet. Sabotage. This time, since I am not really on a diet just changing slight things, I have said nothing. And, no baking to be found  Not skinny but fit dad. I like…
