This exactly.

It's not embarrassing to admit that at all. It's brave. A good friend of mine is a member of OA and it has been a tremendous help for her. Look for a 12 step program near where you live. It could make all of the difference for you. Best of Luck!

You are a BAMF!!! Amazing! I took a peek at your profile pictures - Love the "Go ahead, underestimate me" (story of my life) edit for spelling...

I'm struggling with this too! I don't have much to lose. If I don't measure/weigh everything that goes into my mouth I see no progress. It's very frustrating! It makes it very difficult to eat at a restaurant, go to a cookout, or anywhere that I am not preparing the food. Let's face it, if you don't know exactly what's in…

and this is why it's great that I don't work in an office building setting with co-workers brining in goodies!.... If I were faced with donuts at work all the time, I'm pretty sure that you'd find me under my desk eating the whole box! Whether or not I cut them in half first, well, that would be irrelevant.

It was difficult to decifer the specfic fabric from the profile picture..the shoes made the real impression! Haha!

Weren't you wearing a pin striped suit earlier with white shoes? ...or was that someone else?

I was talked into "Eating for Your Blood Type" What a crock of crap! My B12 levels plummeted and I had to have B12 injections weekly for months. I can NOT believe I was so gullible, as I'm a firm believer in "everything in moderation". *sigh*

Whey Protein Oatmeal ( I grind it to a powder) Frozen Mixed Fruit Yogurt Blend & drink on the way to work. I'm not a morning person and I've found this is the best grab and go breakfast for me. On the weekends , when I go for a run, I usually have a banana (if it's going to be a long run) otherwise nothing.

I just joined this group and am reading through all of this great info! This is exactly how I set mine a few weeks ago. I'm glad to see confirmation that it makes sense! That's a step in the right direction for me!!!

My question about eggs is this :: If your remember the jingle, "Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh" ...then what are the white eggs that my backyard flock lays? They must be the dairy eggs because they're white like milk. The pastel colored eggs from the Ameraucanas - well, those must be from aliens.

I LOVE American Ninja Warrior!!! Kacy was amazing! I stood up and clapped when she made it up the wall! ( I know it's silly ) Why my husband won't agree to turn our garage into a training course is beyond me?!?

Same here - I do them at home. I never saw many people doing DL and there wasn't much space to do them. I would be setting up in any open space I could find and always felt like I was in everyone's way. Plus, waiting for the one squat rack where someone was doing curls was frustrating. I talked my husband into builing a…

Even with all of those tricks - Preparing everything the night before (sometimes even wearing my workout clothes to bed), setting the alarm clock in the hallway and going downstairs to let the cat out, I have still crawled back into bed instead of working out. I find the mornings super tough. The one thing that has worked…

BAD - I had my husband drop me off 7 miles from home so that I could run past all the pretty farms. (When I run out and back from my house I never make it that far) Anyway, the second he pulled away, I immediately needed the bathroom. That was a LONG run in more ways than one. BEST - So many to choose from, but I'd have to…

I balled my eyes out while running. It was on a long run - my longest run. The feeling of joy, relief and accomplishment overwhelmed me. I cried that big ugly, sobbing cry. It felt great!

You look fabulous!!! This is just the reminder I needed to make lifting a priority! I love how you showed the progress with different diet & fitness routine! Nicely done!

I can relate! Married mom of 2 boys. Full-time job. Hour commute. Husband works 3-11. By the time my day is done - dinner, general house work and finally geting the boys to bed its usually after 9pm! I used to workout then, but I really felt that like I also needed to unwind. Slowly but surely I am becoming someone who…

I have been there too. I feel like I've been going in circles for the last few months. I keep saying," tomorrow, I'll start fresh", "I'll plan out my lunches starting next week", "I'll add in the exercise after I do *insert lame excuse here*". I hit my breaking point on Sunday when I went running with some of my friends. I…

Fall down seven, stand up eight. As many times as it takes, I will start over. I suppose it could depend on each person's interpretation of "Day One". Sometimes "Day One" is the start of a new goal that I've set for myself or a different approach. Life changes and upsets the apple-cart and sometimes we need to restack the…

After reading the articles that Brian posted, I realized that I didn't do was poorly as I thought with my "protein" recovery drink. Although, it was a protein shake, I made it with 2 cups of chocolate milk ----> all three articles said that chocolate milk is a good recovery drink :drinker: Lots of other good ideas in those…

I do fuel on over 6 miles, ironically, I did not bring them on this 8 miler - maybe that was the problem! Maybe they're more helpful than I gave them credit for? As far as going for protein, I feel like I need to get it in somewhere! I can't eat lots of protein before hand, it seems to make me dizzy. I will add in carbs…
