I have a very similar knee issue - had it scoped last Feb and it still swells up every day. Steriod injections did nothing; synvisc helped a little. My doc recommended doing exercises to build up my thigh muscles to take the strain off of my knees; I use the resistance bands a lot and that seems to help. I don't do a lot…

Yummmmm Trader Joe's!

I try to go over in fiber and protein; I look at those 2 numbers as my minimum. For fats, carbs and cals, I look at the number as a maximum and try to stay under. This is what works for me; I know there are a lot of different approaches that work for different people. My diary is open, just disregard the last couple of…

Higher fiber and higher protein meals are usually best at keeping me full for longer. I've been on a breakfast burrito kick lately - La Tortilla Factory makes wraps that are 80-110 ca; and 12-13g fiber. I fill it with scrambled eggs (1 whole + 1 white), and some center cut bacon (25 cal/slice). You could also add any other…

I just looked through the past week of your food diary - it looks like you are not eating enough! You haven't even come close to breaking 1200 calories. Eat more, and eat some fruit! It could be low sugar making you dizzy. And is there any way you could go to an ER? I know the doctor is expensive without health insurance,…

I love love love fage 0% plain with sugar free cherry jello powder mixed in. It's great for me because I hate goopy fruit chunks. I also substitute it for sour cream - on baked potatpes, mexican food, everything!

I ate there for dinner tonight! I googled and found a nutrition calculator that helped me figure out what to get: http://www.chipotlefan.com/index.php?id=nutrition_calculator I had a steak bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, tomatoes, hot salsa, corn salsa, lettuce, and guacamole (half of which I scooped off and gave to my…

I hurt my knee and couldn't work out like I used to, but I didn't change my eating habits. My husband and I started living together, and I just eyeballed my portion sizes as compared to his (he is a 6' tall super athletic Marine). Plus I was eating out a lot, not really realizing how many calories I was actually ingesting.

Unfertilized! Just kidding  I like mine over medium, or scrambled. When I scramble them, I like to use one whole egg and one egg white. I made a killer b-fast burrito with scrambled eggs in it this morning - la tortilla factory makes 100 cal wraps with 13g of fiber! Yumm!

Shift your eating hours. Since you're going to bed at 7am, it's probably safe to eat at night. I know some people recommend not eating within 3 hours of going to bed (IMHO it doesn't make a difference), so if that is what makes you comfortable, just don't eat after 4am.

Eat before you go so you're not starving. Politely try a little bit of everything, extra heavy on the veggies. Offer to bring a salad or a (light) dessert.

I agree with the above poster! Change your settings to "lose 1/2 lb per day"!!

A couple of I found a wallet in a shopping cart in the grocery store parking lot. There were a few bills poking out, but I didn't check to see how much. I ran it into the store and gave it to someone working there. Hopefully the rightful owner claimed it! I know how crappy it is to lose something valuable/important. Last…

If they have an out of state ID, they could be military or a military dependent - there are tons of 'em in Cali! Or maybe its just some poor guy out here on vacation who can't fly back now because he has no ID. Maybe try to look up the name/address on whitepages.com and see if you can find a number to call? Someone else…

Great job with your weight loss!! Maybe try changing your goal to "lose 1/2 lb per week"? I know it seems counterintuitive to eat more, but that helped me break my plateau. Especially because you only have 11 left to lose!

I worry about being poked in the eye by a tree branch when I am outside walking or driving. When I am at work I worry about something happening to my dogs in my apt (fire, flood, burglar, etc). I hate flying and try to do it as seldom as possible. I get claustrophobic when locked in small spaces (got locked in a small…

People who speed up to get in front of me, and then slow down once they get there. Why hurry up to cut me off if you're just going to slow down and force me to brake once you get there? So rude!

You probably already have knives, a baseball bat, heck, even a frying pan at your house, and these are all things that can be used as weapons. A gun really isn't a whole lot different. With proper training, handling and stowage, it is a great thing to have around the house. I'm a big believer in "Guns don't kill people;…

Pants. It was cheaper to lose weight than buy all new pants (and to replace the pants that my bottom literally burst through. While I was out in public). There are tons of cheap, healthy foods! You can buy a big bag of rice or dried beans for just a couple of bucks, and it will last awhile. In regards to fruits/veggies,…
