  • General recommendation for a nursing mom is 1800 calories minimum to maintain milk supply.
  • I just completed Turbofire and started Piyo. Piyo isn't enough for me. I'm really disappointed so far, I don't feel like I'm getting a workout compared to how I felt after Turbofire. I'm going to have to do a hybrid with turbo or I'm going to not do it at all.
  • I'll figure out a way........
  • I used to be a Customer Service Rep for one of the production companies that supply KFC with their chicken. ANYTHING you get from there is loaded with sodium. I would swell and retain water just from processing their orders! Also, these promo's made my life hell, always product shortages because they underestimated their…
  • I use a HRM and create my own workouts.
  • 3 pregnancies and none. Gained 100 lbs with my first, 38 with my second, and 42 with my 3rd. Just good genes I guess. My mom and sister both got them, but the women on my father's side didn't.
  • Due June 20. 3w6d right now. Found out at 9DPO. Still a little shocked, but very excited; we were actively trying. Symptoms so far are fatigue, peeing, and headaches. First doctor's appointment on the 29th. Best wishes to everyone!
  • I have a HRM and have been doing Turbo Fire for a year. I burn anywhere from 350 to 700, depending on the workout and intensity. Some are 30 minutes, some 45, one 55, and one 60. Plus the HITT workout DVD's. Those I burn from 200 to 500 depending on which one I'm doing.
  • I asked this a couple weeks ago. I, unfortunately, have to modify my fitness routines for pregnancy because of bleeding in previous pregnancy. It was unexplained bleeding, but to be on the safe side, I have to tone it down. I was looking for some prenatal DVD's for pregnancy, but my problem is they are all strength…
  • I started out with 3 lb and then moved to 5 lb. Next time going to start with 5lb and try to go to 8lb. I think just do whatever is challenging to you, shouldn't be easy, but should be able to do it.
  • Well, my scales always match what the dr. office says. My hubby says he sees more muscle tone.
  • I have a 9 year old - gained 100 lbs with him. And a 1 year old - gained 40 lbs with her. Both were well over 9 lbs at birth and I've had 2 c-sections. The more you lose the better it starts to look. I thought after my last pregnancy I was going to need a tummy tuck but since I've done the 30DS 2 times now, I'm thinking…
  • If you don't need it for pregnancy prevention and are 100% sure you do not want any children in the future, I would look into the uterine ablasion. I worked with several ladies who had it done and all of them are period free now. One was going to have a hysterectomy because of the excessive bleeding but didn't want to go…
  • Mine bought their own dresses and shoes, (groomsmen paid their tux rental) and when I was recently a bridesmaid, I paid for my own dress, shoes, and jewelry. Now, if the wedding is cancelled, you should offer to pay them back for the dress and shoes.
  • My experience has been I didn't gain weight, but losing weight became more difficult. I also started losing a ton of hair and always felt like my head was in a cloud and severely depressed. My dr tested my thyroid and said it was normal and his only suggestion was the Mirena. He said it was the same hormone as the shot and…
  • I've had 2 c-sections. After my daughter was born in Aug. 2010 I weighed 165 and had the overhang. I'm currently down to 145 and can honestly say it is getting better. When I had my son in 2003, I lost the overhang by the time he was 4, but I'd got back down to 125. It takes work, but it can be done.
  • Love the Nuvaring. Had it for 4 years and then got the Mirena. I kept the Mirena for a year and then got it taken out and went back to Nuvaring. I love it because it is once a month, regulates your cycles, and I never experienced weight gain with it. Actually, the opposite. First time I got it, I lost weight without even…
  • I just got Mirena removed and went back to Nuvaring. I had used Nuvaring for 4 years before gettting the Mirena and I lost 20 lbs really easily; without trying. I hated Mirena. I constantly looked bloated, around 3 to 4 months pregnant, hair started falling out. Didn't gain weight, but couldn't lose even though I was…
  • I seriously just completed my Day 1 Level 1 about 20 minutes ago! Jillian don't play around! It was fast and effective. I needed a changed after doing Turbofire for 6 months. I plan on doing it every single day for 30 days.

  • Went off the pill Nov. 2, 2009. Found out I was pregnant Dec. 2, 2009. I honestly though after 7 years on birth control it would take some time. One of my good friends was off of the pill for 2 years before she got pregnant. Everyone is different and do what is best for you. I went into my 2nd pregnancy about 30 lbs.…
  • Mine is 4.06 and my PCP won't treat it.......going to see endocrinologist in Jan. They've changed the normal range to .3 to 3 now but you are right, many doctors still go by the old numbers as normal.
  • I would find out what thyroid numbers your doctor's office is going by. Most offices still go by the .5 to 5 range and endocrinologists are recommending a smaller range of .3 to 3. I recently went in with the same symptoms as you and my dr tested my thyroid. Said it was still normal. My 2008 levels were TSH 1.8 and free T4…
  • Please add me to the challenge. Never done one, but interested and could use the extra motivation/support.
  • The Burn it Off DVD is a Cardio DVD.......She mixes some cardio in with the others but it isn't a lot of cardio. I'm doing the Turbofire/Chalean Extreme Hybrid schedule.
  • Yeah, mine too.....I hear women say all the time their bc is why they can't lose weight or gained weight.......think of how much you will gain pregnant. I can speak from experience, 2 times I said I wasn't going to gain more than recommended. 100 lbs gained with the first one and 40 with the second one. And trust me it…
  • I had a freind put on facebook recently that she was on a plane next to a fat person and she hated it - she should not have to sit next to a fat person..........she did catch a lot of heck over her post and then tried to backtrack and say it wasn't what she meant, she meant that anyone can excercise and eat right. Maybe…
  • August 1st will be my first day as a SAHM or as my husband jokes "CEO of Coby and Emily Inc." I've been doing Turbofire since June and am loving it. I am able to get it done while my daughter is napping and my son sometimes works out with me. Good luck and I'll send a FR.
  • The one on my back has been fine through 2 pregnancies, but the one on my hip, not so much. I got a stretch mark right through the middle of it. If it is a region that will spread and stretch during pregnancy, I'd hold off of getting a tattoo.
  • I went to Red Lobster last week for my anniversary and had snow crab legs - a pound was only around 185 calories. I did have to have butter, but I only used 1/2 of it so it wasn't too bad. Just go easy on appetizers
  • I am loving it! I started June 3, 2011 and I started on the prep schedule since it had been a while since I had done any serious excercise. Weight loss hasn't been a lot on the prep schedule, but the first couple of weeks is a bunch of stretching and a few cardio workouts. I'm sure as I move along and increase the amount…
