  • Does beating yourself up do any good? If not why do it? A week is a shirt period of time, dont panic and start off by logging your food, maybe a few ays at maintenance and just oing for a walk. Each day is a new opporunity for a restrat if needed.
  • You are 20 years old and dont understand sufficiently how successful weight loss works. Rabbit nailed it in assessing whats happening with you based on the information you provided. If you had truly been on 1320 calories then you would have lost weight. You are eating more thna you think and burning less so the result is…
  • So if you are going to do soemthing about it good look. with people eporting they have been confirmed as a diabetic and ignored repeated warnings about it and are now sad, shocked upset etc they didnt do anything. Good luck.
  • So running gives me 600-700 cals per hour. At 7 hours per week, say middle third of a half marathon cycle, I can't physically consume enough food to compensate. I acknowledge that an elliptihell will give 50-70% of that consumption, but the extra burn really isn't worth it. [/quote] I am talking about the OP and someone…
  • Tbh help yourself. Its yourself you need to losten to by taking responsibilitu for the food you consume. Thats where it should start. Its not whetgher you eat crap its about how much it amounts to in calories. You should know this if you have been on MFP and have been logging your food. Take control of the situation. Weigh…
  • Gluten free what they said. Being at consistent deficit is what matters. Motivation are the underlying factors which persuade you to do something. As suggested b by SueinAz start small , build gradually and be encouraged by the success. Knowledge, planning , realistic expectations and commitment helps to be consistent and…
  • Tbf its luttlezebra that brough it up and shes the one making the claims. 5 hours cardio isnt hard to exceed.
  • Think they are more interested in calorie burn return.
  • Thanks I've had a quick scan an it looks a lot more reasonable plus put things into context. Deffo worth a read.
  • Are your views based on that O keefe lecture, care to link us up to some peer reviewed studies rather than one mans opinion? Diminishing returns in what sense?
  • If youive gaines 6lb back it could just eb a fluctuation or if its real then it indicates your alorie counting is poor and that you need to get that sorted as a prioriy, protein is just protein and a bit of exercise whislt nice is nowhere as importnat as making sure you post consistent deficits by accurate logging. The…
  • Depends on the machine some are a lot better than others.

  • Do you wnat to lose weight or not? If so it will require you to eat at a calorific deficit for a sustained period of time, so losing 1lb a week for 62 weeks will get you roughly to your traget weight. If you wnat to spend your time feeling sad and miserable plus comfort eating then you ae engaging in the sort of behaviour…
  • If you wnat it enough then just get on with it. Maybe you cna settle for a break, change of routine etc but it vecomes a different game when youve done most of the work and its boring. If you wnat it enough then get on with it you know the score. If you cnat be bothered then its not importnat enough to you at the moment.

  • She was asking about using the power plates, do you use them?
  • I use the powerplates at the gym on a regular basis, but as part of my cooldwon and to get a massage to avoid injuries. I feel its been effective in this. Is it an effecive calorie burner, dont think so plus you still have to do the exercise when using it. You cnat just sit on it and expect it to do all the work. Burning…
  • Am sorry but 41 lbs in 4 months is a very fast rate of loss. How many calories were you eating and burning? The idea you have space for a plateau (6 weeks of being at a deficit and no weight loss) is extraordinary. Weight loss is not linear so be patient and keep on doing the correct things.
  • I'm commited and that involves making choices as part of the deal. Ive made progress so have a reason to continue, its not always easy, but exercise is an impornat part of it all including weught loss as well as getting fit. Who wouldnt want to be healthier, fitter, faster, stronger?
  • wow raider but swapped it for the gym and mfp

  • Reading too much into it, context is everything. You know him and we dont. he might very well have noticed but decided for his own reasons not to say anything.
  • Your expectations are completely unrealistic. The fact you say you are unmotivated and heartbroken after only a week shows you would do well to read up on how weight loss works maybe from some of the stickies posted on each forum. Unless you are actually at a deficit through eating less and moving more then you will not…
  • If you are unfit, then I would get a basic level of fitness first. Hiit isnt some magic cure all. You probably mean normal interval training. Hiit can be efficient in burning more calories, but it takes it out of you. You will not get muscle definition from cardio. 30 mins 2-3 tines a week is not a lot at all. You might be…
  • Her situation might not need a lawyer. How will said lawyer be paid for? Itspossible to find out the correct information without instructing a lawyer in the first instance. Just because a mediator didnt work for you doesnt mean it hasn't worked for other people.
  • Change your mindset so upi adjust to you being your own support team. Other people are a distraction. get friends here who are in he same boat if you feel that would help.
  • Not for me because hiit done properly will take a lot out of me.
  • The point was you can ask, but as people make up their own minds then not everyone is going to comply becayse thats what happens on public forums. Maybe stick to your friends list and hang out with your sort of people who can give you what you need. people disagreeing with other people happens on all public forums, these…
  • err its the internet and on forums there are different people with differing opinions. Some of them are idiots and some people are blunt or rude, some are quite reasonable but may disagree with you. Maybe dont be so sensitive or stick up for yourself. If you post stuff on a public forum then people are allowed to comment.
  • the most neglected , but most awesome bit of cardio equipment the rower. I like stairmaster as well. All cardio can be boring, vyt uts mire ibteresting when you get results, make progress and maybe have some music. A lot of people just go through the motions though. I prefer to do cardio after weights as i like to be at…
