I regained 19 of the 30 lbs I lost when I first joined this site. Also just found out I'm expecting again and I'm really dreading all the weight gain and pain from being so heavy. I wish I was starting from a healthy weight or at least healthier.

How long does it take to show improvement? I have a lot of the symptoms (fatigue, very poor memory, cold sensitivity, some hair and skin issues, and of course being overweight) but thought that was just life.. It never occurred to me that I might have a thyroid problem until it showed up on a routine blood test.

I have a lot of the same feelings about food. I thought about eating better every day since my son was born 3.5 years ago but never did anything about it. I found a new doctor that helped alot - she rans all these tests showing how being overweight was making me unhealthy.. and scheduled monthly weigh ins and a weight loss…

I have 3 tattoos I had done when I was a teenager, and hated by my early 20's. one has been removed, and I'm working on removing another one now. Very expensive! Luckily I don't dwell on it too much, but it's definitely one of my biggest regrets. I still love them on other people (the tree to remember a friend who passed…

Sometimes I think people have lost weight, but I don't say anything because I'm afraid of being wrong and that I'll make them feel bad. I know this is me overthinking it though, I just should say it. Or at least tell them they look good. :)

You can add me. I started in June at 249. I'm 5'8" and I don't know how people get in the 150's from my kind of starting weight...it seems impossible for me, but we'll see. :) I'll be thrilled to get under 200!

Cereal. I always eat way too much of it, at weird times, and the more I eat the more I want. Maybe some day I'll have it again, but since I've started trying to eat better it seems like I can always find a better choice than cereal.

Hey, I just sent a friend request =) I'm new to this website and to the idea of resistance training. I'm starting to realize losing weight probably isn't enough for me either.

I can relate to starting a lot but never really getting lasting results. I'm doing better than I have in years, and I think it's because my doctor has intervened and is holding me accountable with monthly weigh ins. Can you talk to your Dr about a plan to lose weight? If all they do is say "eat less and exercise more" imo…

I'm interested as well!

You look so lovely!!

Thanks for the reply. It seems like a reasonable goal. According to a BMI chart I found my lowest weight was actually in the healthy range. I'm currently in the obese with a BMI of 34.
