Just a couple of things in addition to what everyone else said: Whole chickens are cheaper and you can use the carcass to make your own broths and soups. Dried beans are far cheaper than canned. They may take longer to cook, but you also control the sodium in them. And are easier to do if you have a crockpot. And you…

I'm finishing up my 3 month trial of WW this month and won't be continuing. While I've successfully maintained a loss of over 100 pounds by counting calories, I thought I needed a change. A friend, who goes to weekly meetings, has been quite successful on it. For me, nothing happened. I found that the points translated to…

It's canned food made by Merrick's. Not sure if the big pet stores sell it, but we buy his food from a smaller local store. Our dog has a pretty premium diet and I'm totally convinced that dog food was much healthier than the bag of Cheez Its and it's questionable ingredients I just downed. I am thrilled tho that all of…

Keep up the good work kblue! I'm having thryoid surgery in 8 days, so I'm off any and all sauce for a bit and will have to live vicariously. I got plenty in on Sunday and Monday tho. But I'm thinking it's best to tone it down a notch lest I need a transfustion and they don't have any imperial stout IV's :)

You could also add walnuts or pecan to your oatmeal to get some extra protein in. I'd drop the processed granola bars and take one of those servings of frozen fruit and add a couple of scoops of whey powder to it, a little milk, ice and make a smoothie.

I'm currently set at 1950 per day and exercise 3-4 days per week. I don't ever aim to lose more than half a pound a week. Exercise is really my "sweet spot." I've lost and kept off over 100 pounds while averaging 2200 cals a day. But if I slack off for a minute on exercise, the weight creeps up in an instant and has the…

I've had good luck with bras from Title Nine online. One, I'm kind of hefty and two, the ones I've bought don't smoosh me up. But they are kind of spendy. When it comes to sports bras, I believe you get what you pay for.

Hello you beautiful Like Minded Lushes! I am so happy to find you all today. Thursdays are known as Craft Beer Thursday at our house since I'm usually off work that day. And already have the Bell's Oberon plugged into my diary today. I won't say I'm proud of any of it, but...beer is good. My husband and I often joke that…

Are you sitting down? How much do you spend monthly (roughly)? 900-1000 How many are in your household? 2 adults What region / area are you from? Chicago Do you think that's high / low / average ? high, but that is 3 squares a day plus snacks and...um....craft beer. We only eat out once or twice a month Does anything…

I have to take a mega dose of iron daily, but take a 500 mg tablet of magnesium before bed every nite and I have no TMI problems at all.

What baldzach said. My trainers have always applauded my cycling, be it stationary or "real," and I lost over a hundred pounds doing so. And since I don't use my calves for pedaling, they're still flabby. There are some genetics at play here for sure. FWIW, I burn far more calories on a bike in an hour than I do jogging or…

I've only house trained one puppy and one adult, but a few things come to mind. I would either get a larger crate so she can't pee on herself at least. Or even better, get an ex-pen that you can attach to the crate so she can sleep in the crate and pee outside outside on newspaper or pads if you use them. Ideally tho, she…

Hey Ladies! I was once 5'11", but was recently measured as 5'10". I was pretty bummed by it. And will be demanding a recount as soon as I can. Nice to see you all. In all of my girlie health mags, whenever they do the success stories there aren't many of us out there. Here's to our current and future successes!

It seems there's a bit of sodium in everything, even in fresh foods. 95% of what I eat, I've prepared myself and I don't add salt to anything, but if I have any cheese or canned beans or an Amy's burrito or a can of tuna, I find myself above my alotted 2500 mgs in an instant. I'm going to start looking at my weekly…

Crystal Light Pure lists only "sugar." But it does have lots of other stuff in it. I use Heed Sports Drink mix when I'm working out or need to be hydrated. No added or artificial sugars.

I bought 3 months of WW and have been in the negative for Points every week for 8 out of the last 10. While some of that is just my own doing (craft beers!!), I also find that I can be under calories for a week here. Also, very few of the brands I use are in the WW database. I have a good friend who is on WW and quite…

I posted my recipe for mini quiches the other day. Another thing that makes them great is you can always have them hand and they also travel well! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/249931-who-wants-my-mini-quiche-recipe

Totally agree with Foxxy about Ezekiel. Their "low sodium" bread has no sodium and you can find it in the freezer section of most grocery stores. I would also buy dry beans and make your own in a crock pot without adding an extra salt. As far as cheese, Sargento makes several of theirs in low sodium varieties. Maybe you…

Ditto to all of the above regarding eating! I lost and kept off over 100 pounds while typically consuming around 2100 cal a day. I'm getting a bit older tho and it's harder to lose, so I've recently dropped that to 1910. I track exercise, but I try not to eat those calories. Which is not to say I won't drink them in craft…

I signed up for WW for 12 weeks and I am just now in my 10th and really wondering if I wanted to continue...You all might have helped me make up my mind. I think the key to WW might be the meetings and I do online only. It just has not brought me any more success than logging calories. Hmmmm....
