  • Thanks everyone :) We'll both stay safe. I think I'm doing alright. I've dropped 5 lbs so far so I'm feeling pretty good. I'm really sore form working out but I'm really excited for this. Hope I can pass my test for rescue swimmer :)

  • Eat ALL of your calories. Including exercise calories. If you put your body into starvation mode by not eating enough, it will make losing weight a LOT harder. Good luck :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome :flowerforyou:
  • I had a neighbor who used to put apple pieces in her salad (just tiny chunks to throw on there). I haven't tried this yet but I found it on a vegetarian message board, and it sounds good: Beans, Chickpeas, Mozzarella, Onions, Tomatoes and lemon juice, olive oil and pepper as a dressing. It actually goes on pita bread but I…
  • Ooh I've been there. Not fun. :noway:
  • Hmm....a teacher once told me that eating carbs could be better than eating a bunch of protein because it keeps you energized longer. I don't know about whether it keeps you from being hungry longer, though. Maybe try some yogurt & granola with fruit for breakfast? I found that stuff like that kept me full and I was…
  • Try low fat yogurt and granola (which also comes low fat, if you prefer) with some bananas or berries or something. I found that 1/4 cup of the yogurt and granola and like...half of a banana kept me satisfied from morning to afternoon. (or at least from around 6 am to about 1 when I get lunch)
  • That's happened to me before. The important thing is not to let it freak you out so badly. Acknowledge the fact that it happened so you can try not to do it again, but don't let it get you down. It's just 2 lbs; that could be worked off pretty quick. Besides, it could also have something to do with how much water you've…
  • Love it
  • lol wow
  • Everyone's here to be healthier, dear, whether it's gaining or losing weight. I wish you the best of luck :flowerforyou:
  • I left again...and had to come back to MFP. I was doing pretty well on here, and then decided to see if I could lose weight without the use of MFP (wanted to experiment and see if I could still keep myself motivated enough to lose weight) So...I'm back, now. I lost 10 lbs, but I think I'll stick with MFP for now because I…

  • Yeah, I don't think my children will be tiny boys/girls either. I don't think I can get below a size 9 because of my bone structure (and don't want to, either) My sons/daughters will probably have large bone structures and never be able to be teeny  lol

  • Well, I was 10 lbs flat at birth. My mum had to have a C-section with me (obviously). She says after her and my dad divorced (like right when I started second grade) was when I started to gain weight...since then, I've always been overweight. I remember weighing 141 lbs in the 6th grade and thinking "wow, this sucks" when…
  • :drinker: Cheers to that
  • I'm not a mother, but if/when I am one, I'll definitely be teaching my children better than to listen to the media all the time. I'd prefer that my children learn to think for themselves and see that they're beautiful, instead of getting sucked in to what everyone else is thinking. And that goes for everything else, too. I…
