  • build things with the stuff at your table....paper clips, pens, wadded up pieces of paper...arrange with the person next to you, take one turn at a time, it's completely childish yet creative and really passes the time~!
  • Uh, HELLO?!? Pizza Hut!!! I thought getting the extra thin and crispy pizza, with extra sauce and very little cheese would NOT be 250 calories per slice, go to a restaurant, isn't this what got us here in the first place? Two slices and some wings=750 calorie dinner!!! GRRRR!!! Hahaha!!
  • Holy cow you've lost a lot of weight....nicey nice!!
  • I think there is nothing wrong with not eating for the day, there is nothing wrong with taking one or two days to clease yourself by drinking a lot of water or tea and hitting the virtual reset button. You will NOT hurt yourself by not eating for a day or two.
  • I think what she means is that crunches are a waste of time if you are trying to spot reduce...
  • I have found that the only way I can keep working out consistantly throughout the school year is by saying no to others and yes to myself. Example: My principal asks me to head a comittee without compensation, I respectfully decline. If I feel that I am only saying yes to a comittment out of fear or in wanting to please…
  • It was on showtime awhile ago, I agree, it's amazing! But it just goes to show the addict in some people, I think the lead runner was some sort of drug addict/smoker. Then he quit everything and began obessively running. Everything in moderation, I think putting your body through the strain of running the Sahara is just as…
  • http://www.halhigdon.com/halfmarathon/index.htm 12 weeks is all it takes!!! I like the hal higdon one, if you want to say you ran it at least!
  • I think the reason people who lose weight are drawn to running races, including marathons, is because, let me just put it bluntly, fat people can't run marathons. Don't get me wrong, I did see some heavier people run the chicago marathon last year, it was my first. But, generally, running and being overweight don't go hand…
  • My last half marathon time was 2:17, and it was a PR from the four I've done in the past two years, I didn't train much for it, and it REALLY hurt to keep that 10:30 pace....but I was proud to be on the "lower" end of average hahaha...there definitely is a school of thought among some runners that certain people shouldn't…
  • SON of a NUTcracker!!! hahaha!
  • now we are talking! that is a funny server comment.......or making you run to the back to see if we have any hot chocolate during the evening rush, only to order coffee upon your return......eyeroll!! Or even worse, HOT TEA...ARRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!! That stupid box, trying to be all fancy...I hated searving tea...oh and…
  • I used to work at a "finer" restaurant that had you bring over the tray of desserts to show people, you know, desserts that have plastic ice cream on top of the real apple pie so it looks a la mode, well, if I had a dollar for every time someone said, "THose are all low cal right?" And then proceed to laugh-hehehehe, oh…
  • Don't eat them, bank them for later on in the week if you want to splurge, like have a cocktail with the girls, or have an extra cookie! You don't always have to eat all the cals..
  • Special K w/ red berries, or Frosted Mini Wheats....love my sugar in the morning....I have with Almond Milk, everything measured!
  • now THAT sounds good!
  • Arnold 100 cal sandwich rolls Amercian cheese Eggs Cans of canned beans frosted shredded wheat pickled beets Almond Milk Crystal Light Lemonade Special K w. red berries Onions Tomatoes Avocados Cilantro ........of course there's more stuff I eat than this, but if these things aren't always in the fridge/pantry, well, then,…
  • Where to start! Well, just shop the outer ring of the grocery store, stay away from the deli processed meats, and don't buy those salads from the deli either. Eating healthfully doesn't always equate with convenience, so plan ahead. Recipes on cookinglight.com are great, do some internet searching for fast kid friendly…
  • I'm glad it works for you! I thought activia was just a marketing ploy as most yogurt contains probiotics....but I guess now it's different! Glad to hear!
  • This is a great way to honor your husband, take care of YOU!!!
  • I didn't want to say it, but I totally agree. They're like these huge globs of blob! I would love to go braless too!
  • Cheers to not going down the surgery route....Breasts are fat, and I think women with huge boobs are usually heavier anyway *ducks and covers*, but that's not in EVERY case of course. I just know that when I lose weight they get smaller in proportion to my body...they fit...I would rather be small breasted and thin...it…
  • I agree with the above poster. I also think that a lot of Americans are lazy and have a sense of entitlement and think that they can reward themselves with food because they deserve it. Our values are warped and we teach our kids to reward themselves with food at such an early age....i.e. m and ms for using the toilet? We…
  • I guess it depends on where you work. Personally, I wouldn't want to draw that much attention to the fact I want to lose weight, I'd rather let results speak for themselves. I'm a teacher and would get REALLY tired of explaining what it is....reminds me of when everyone at work started wearing shape-ups. They were asked a…
  • I have been on and off phentermine for about 6 months. I usually take a half a pill a day when I do take it. I actually like it, I don't have too many bad side effects, it does make me a little bit more jittery, but not too bad. It's a great way to control your appetite, but I do find that my heart rate goes up really…
  • 1 Scoop of Designer Whey Vanilla protein powder, 1 cup almond milk, handful of ice cubes, dash of vanilla extract, 1 packet of splenda, and a 1/4 cup of oatmeal....soooooooooooo good!!!
  • Yeah, most croutons you buy in the store are fine, it has the nutritional info on the box. But go to any other bakery, fast-fresh concept like Panera or Corner Bakery, and they are loaded with fat and calories.
  • HAHA I did it too last weekend, the Midwest one. I've never been more dirty in my entire life!!! I did think it was a bit too expensive for the event, probably won't do it again. It was a fun one time thing! If you have a pic, sure post it. I don't have any, too muddy to hold the camera.
  • My sister is an ob/gyn and says that most birth control today contains such a low dose of estrogen that you shouldn't be feeling more hungry than before. I think sometimes it's psychosomatic. Just my .02, but Nuvaring is the best!!
  • Except when i drink the whole bottle, then it's about 500 cals....ah well, if it's in the budget...
