I really like the Triscuit Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil with a slice of sharp cheddar and a slice of lunch meat. Probably right around 200 calories.

There's a free app for android called cardio trainer that will track your mileage using gps.

Ditto. It's also why when I find a shirt I love, I buy it in 2 or 3 colors. Some people thrive on habit and routine. As a classic introvert, I am one of those people. Habit equals comfort. Also, as a busy mom, I find I don't have as much time to experiment or research new recipes.

Hmmm ... I think your best bet is to take pictures of yourself. You know how when you were heavy and you could hardly stand to look at a photo of yourself? Take a picture of yourself now, and keep doing it about once a month. The picture will tell if it's muscle or chub. I'll bet it's muscle. Keep it up!

Thanks everyone for the good advice!!! (and recipes). I have been drinking water like crazy today, and I've vowed not to weigh myself until Sunday.

They didn't have laser spay when my pup was little - 11 years ago. She recovered fine. Was on pain medicine for about a day. 1 dose when she left the hospital, and we gave her one dose the first night. By her second day home, she was almost herself. By the third day, she was perfectly fine. By the time the stitches…

For lunch, I eat 3 ounces of low sodium lunch meat with 1 slice of reduced fat cheese. I wrap it in a 100 calorie wrap with a little bit of deli mustard, and I eat a banana on the side. It is VERY filling.

bump. I'm interested in what other people have to say about this. For me, I subtract 1 calorie per minute, because the math is easier.

OHHHH NOOOO!!!! I just finished Day 29. I have to say that for the first few days, I was burning, like nearly 300 calories in the 26 minutes. Now, I'm down to less than 200. Which kind of stinks in a way. The parts that don't stink are: 1. I can get up off the floor without looking like a drunk potato bug. 2. I can do the…

Sorry OP. So sorry. Look at what's happened to your thread. But it's smack. It's definitely smack.

Si .... you like? We both a-like-a-to shake-a our bon-bons. Edited to add: It's terrible that my 5 and 7 year old repeat this phrase all the time. In public. 5 to 7 at the supermarket yesterday: If you touch me again, I will smack you. I will smack you like a bad, bad donkey, ok? xoxo fellow Pepe lover

aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh ... i just had a nightmare flashback of Pre-Med Biology 101 and the Krebs cycle ... I thought I had erased that particular memory from my brain forever. It was right after that exam that I decided Pre-Med was Not For Me, lol.

I actually *did* feel this way ... really run down, like I had the flu. Coincidentally, it was right around my daughter's birthday. I ate one of her cupcakes one afternoon and IMMEDIATELY felt better. That made me realize that while doing the 30DS I *had* to eat more calories. I upped my calories by 300 a day, and have…

bump. I hate water and I love sodium. I would love it if I could DRINK sodium, in fact, lol. I'd love to see a clear, scientific answer.

My trainer taught me 'ponytail extensions'. You might want to google it so you get the form right. Basically, you hold a weight in your arm straight up in the air with your arm touching your ear. Then you drop your elbow down to 90 degrees so that the weight ins behind you. It's the best thing for toning flabby flab on…

Just finished Day 29. Tomorrow is a rest day and Day 30 is Thursday ... can't wait to post results!!!

Lots of jumping. Like jumping lunges, jumping squats, plank jacks, etc. Also, it might be worth it to hire a trainer for a few group sessions to make sure your form is right. I have my husband watch how I lift weights, because when I don't, I tend to strain something.

Dance! I have something called 'cardio trainer pro' on my phone. It works with my mp3 player. It helps me to dance in intervals - like 3 minutes of low intensity followed by 90 seconds of full intensity. I try to dance for at least half an hour everyday. It doesn't matter what KIND of dance, as long as you've got a heart…

I have 'trigger foods' - foods that say, once I start eating them, 'it's ok. just one more cookie. you can exercise it off later. and you've been doing sooooo good.' and then, of course, after a sugar crash, there's NO WAY i'm going exercise it off ... and i'm left hungry so I'm looking for more of the trigger type foods,…

Please dont stop the music Evacuate the dance floor (absolute fave!) just a dream anything by the killers, black eyed peas, Britney, justin timberlake.

That's the one I have. Watch the shipping. But yeah, I love mine.

I would count it. I was just relaying what I had read on here. Some people have said that the carbonation makes you bloat, which makes your stomach larger, which then leaves you more hungry later. Some people say that's total BS. Like just about anything else on here, do what works best for you.

Tuna, eggs, lean lunch meats (just watch the sodium), yogurt (watch the sugar), cottage cheese (low sodium), fruits, and vegetables - these are all your friends. The things you will struggle with are the grains - you need whole grains for a good, healthy diet. Oatmeal, brown rice, barley. None of these things are fancy or…

I love this question! It cracked me up, just because I think that way too ... how long do I have to stand here slurping to get a measurable amount of water?
-
Ok, I was waiting to see if anyone a little 'more in the know' was going to respond here ... What I have read in other posts is that you don't count water that is: -sparkling -caffeinated -has sodium (i guess some flavored waters do) I don't know what the issue is with carbonation, but others here seem to say that it means…

yup.

I'm on Day 23 of the 30 Day Shred. I have *definitely* lost about 2 inches in my waist so far. This workout is only 26 minutes long, and if you do it, REALLY put your heart and soul into it, you can get great results.

Give it more time and don't give up. I know you didn't want to hear that. I lost about 5 lbs right off the bat, then plateau'd for A MONTH. A month for pity's sake!!! But now the weight is just melting off. Almost literally. Half a pound a day sometimes. I've got to get it in check, in fact. Keep it up!
