I exercise with my other half. We get up in the mornings, I make us a smoothie with some fruit, protein powder etc and then we do 40-50 mins of weights (we do body beast), followed by swimming. We found that exercising in the mornings was the only way to make sure that we really will find time. When we exercised in the…

for me after about 30 lb I think. I think there are several factors to it, my personal no-expert thought on this is that I lost internal fat (around organs) first. The reason I think that is because during the first period of my weight loss I did not grow out of my clothes as quickly and consistently as I did after the…

hi there! My main sources of protein are soy yoghurt, soy milk, tofu (here in the UK my favorite one is dragonfly marinated tofu) and chia seeds. Good luck! Going vegan 2 years ago has truely turned my health around, even before I started losing lots of weight.

check out the nutrion profile of chia seeds: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/96605328 they have a lot of omega 3 and really a lot of calcium, iron and protein. They gel up with liquids, so apart from putting them on soup or in yoghurt, cerials etc, you can make chia seed "puddings" or thicken up dressings. I made…

I love that alpro almond milk has like 13 kcal per 100 ml (about 3.3 oz i think). I eat a vegan diet, so I only have plant milks. Most of the times I have soy milk because it seems to have the biggest amount of protein. (Before dieting I was not terribly concerned about protein and I was fine but I ate much more then, so…

Hi there :) my partner and i are vegan. My diary is open and i always cook from scratch but you won't be able to see what type of exercise i do since the data comes in through my fitness tracker. I currently swim and do aqua fitness, aqua jogging and if you want to count that, walk my dog.

Thanks, Danny! I hope i will be able to return that favor :)

Thanks for digging this out! I joined mfp 35 days ago and lost 21 lbs in that period, the rest of my weight loss before that happened at a slightly lower pace. Now i got my period a second time in one month with spotting in between. I am having a lot of cramps. I am not on the pill and had a health check just before i…

Hi :) I live in the uk and will start at around 388 lbs. i am still debating what i want to write down as a goal. Something tough to keep me extra motivated or something less extreme? I hope to be somewhere between 330 and 350 lbs by the end of the year. I will do that by continuing what i am already doing: 10 or more…

Eat your fruits, they are good for you. When it comes to diabetes, preventing and curing it, check out dr mcdougall and some of his colleagues who have shown that heat disease and diabetes are curable on a high carb (!) low fat plant based diet. I do avoid processed carbs or processed food in general but fruits, vegetables…

We have family staying with us for a week! There are tons of unhealthy food and alcohol in the house at the moment. I want to stay under my kcal allowance on everyday and work out at least 6 hours! I have done 2 today already so it is looking good :) i will probably skip all alcohol. If i drink my kcals, then it better be…
