Good job! This is inspiring.

Thank you, I'll do that. Back in the day, lol, weight watchers had a formula so you can see what it is taking to maintain your weight. Its interesting to me to see how many calories I must be eating.

Congratulations! You look great, sometimes people take it too far and they don't look healthy, imo, but you look so healthy and happy.

Hello Boo: Things have changed in MFP so I wasn't sure how to reply. I hope this gets to you. It sounds like you are very organized! I think about preparing food ahead but I don't get that done very often. You have quite a success story which is very inspiring. I have often thought about "what if" with Covid. I sure don't…

Hello everyone, this is my 3rd or 4th go around with MFP. I'm 62 and type 2 diabetic. I've never really had any success losing weight by trying to cut calories or increase exercise. I guess I'm too much of a food lover and I'm lazy. Right now my goal is to lose 15 pounds (I don't feel like the first 5 -10 pounds count…

Realizing I needed to take T2D seriously and having difficulty putting shoes on and tying the laces, being short of breath from a short walk.

Hello, I'm Teresa., 61 years old. Happily married for 42 years, have 3 grown children and 6 granddaughters. Weight issues are a big part of our family and I would love to lead them all to victory in their struggles but I've never had success in any attempts I've made to take the pounds off. I would love to loss any amount…

My d-i-l dips spicy hot fries in chocolate ice cream. I like toast spread with peanut butter, banana slices and dobs of grape jelly. Not too weird.

Ha! :) My granddaughter told me she was going to feed it to her dog, he loves yogurt.

Thank you all so much, lots of ideas here!

One tablespoon of coffeemate creamer is 30 calories, that's all I need in my coffee every morning.

Congratulations! Your story is very inspiring. My ultimate goal is to lose 82 pounds but for now I just want to see a 20 pound loss, that would be so encouraging to me. I've bounced around with 10 to 15 pound gains and losses over the past several years. T2D also and having a few issues due to that so I really want to do a…

Thank you all for your responses. It seems that there are conflicting opinions about carbs and weight loss. I think I will schedule an appointment with the dietician, its been a couple years since I've seen her. As for making my diary public, I may do that after a few weeks, I just got restarted here on MFP so I only have…

Good ideas and suggestions, makes good sense, not too techy :)

Hi Everyone, this is my third go around with MFP over the last few years. Good intentions are not getting it done. I'm not only overweight but I'm T2D and have started having some issues because of it. My goal is to lose a total of 100# but I am setting my first goal at 25# in three or four months. Looking for ideas and…

]Do you know if there is a way to change the calorie budget on MFP? [/quote] Go to home>settings>update diet/fitness profile then go to the bottom of that screen and enter how much you want to lose per week. That will change your total calories goal.

Fasting blood sugar this morning was 168. Don't understand why because it was 124 at bedtime. ?? :( Success at controlling the diabetes and weight loss has a lot to do with a person's frame of mind. For years there was not symptoms so it was easy to not be concerned about it, diabetic problems were far in the future. Then…

Went to another doctor yesterday and he explained how to determine how much insulin to use depending on what I was going to eat. No one had ever explained this to me, I should not have declined the diabetes education classes, lol. He gave me a book on counting carbs and we discussed the lows I've been having the past 30…

Hello, I am Type 2 also and was diagnosed long ago but have not taken it too seriously until recently. I've got some tingling going on in my feet and blurry vision. I have been on insulin for a couple years but was afraid to increase it without seeing my doctor. I declined the Diabetes education classes which was a BIG…

You can add me if you want. I am re-starting this journey and intend to be successful this time. I am diabetic and have just started having some issues because of it. I've also joined my local TOPS chapter so hopefully there will be lots of encouragement, tips, ideas, etc.

I saw an advertisement at Casey's General Store for a spinach, artichoke, chicken pizza, has anyone tried this and does anyone know calories, its not on their website yet.

SOUNDS HEAVENLY!!! Will have to try it with my homemade sauerkraut.

Raw vegetable tray with low fat dip or no dip at all. You can use grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, radishes, baby carrots, raw zucchini, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, red, orange, yellow, green sweet peppers, etc. Maybe put some olives on.
-
Thank you swaistle. That's interesting, so my goal is 5.3 stones. That sounds better than 74 pounds!
-
Sorry to interrupt and I'm not from the UK but I am curious as to what a "stone" is? I've seen it numerous times on MFP but don't know what it means. Assuming its some type of measurement but how does it compare to a pound?
-
Congratulations! All your hard work has paid off and your success is an inspiration to the rest of us. :flowerforyou:

This sounds so good, will have to try it this week. I like hominy in just about anything!
-
Sounds wonderful! Gonna try this soon.
