I'm feeling a bit more motivated now. I think the harder workouts have been throwing me off a bit psychologically. I need to go back to what was working: logging and eating more protein and veggies. Thanks, MissJay!

You're right. I've been getting really lazy about my logging lately because it just feels like I'm going back to my old carb munching habits and I'm being coward about facing my choices. I feel like I've been eating lots though. I've lost an additional inch in my arms, but my bust and hips have remained the same. I usually…

milk tea....can't get enough of milk teas.

You got me there...I'm not really sure. But I would guess about half a gallon since I drink my water out of a medium size mason jar pretty much all day long.

Wow, this just answered a question I had. Thanks for this.

This is exactly what my husband says. lol.

Easy! I don't 'exercise,' I play. I dance around the house, hoola hoop, ride my bike, try to climb stuff, fall off stuff. I roller skate with my husband. Hang on to my husband's arm for dear life because I can't roller skate. There's a studio near my place that offers aerial silk classes. I'm thinking of signing up for…

Ugh...anyway, OP... I have a huge sweet tooth myself and went without sugar, fruit, and white carbs for three weeks, grasping for a solution to my digestive issues. The WHO does recommend no more than 25grams of sugar a day, equivalent to 6 teaspoons. The problem is sugar is in practically everything that's processed, and…

Hey, I've been there, and will undoubtedly go there again with body issues. First of all, if you really have BDD you should seek professional help. 'Guidance' on MFP is not enough to help someone with such a serious disorder. Second, have you spoken with your husband about it? What are his thoughts? When I have body issues…

They taste like some exec at Nabisco headquarters got hold of his kids' weed and developed the glorious idea of turning a Jolly Rancher into a cookie. They are really gross.... even on weed. I'll tell you what is pure sin though. Jiff Whipped Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Do not be alone in the room with this stuff.

Noodles and mayo? Sounds like something I would have tried to make back in college when I had no money. Lol. You may be stressed or not getting enough fiber in your diet. This was my problem about three months back. My doctor recommended more fiber, lots of water, exercise and more meditative activities to handle stress.

Yes. 1000x yes. I know how you feel. There's the fear of failure... But there's also the fear of success. That's the one that really gets ya because you can't really see it coming. In the past, when I lost weight on some extreme measure, like cutting out whole food groups, or depriving myself, or working out several hours…

Awesome. Thanks for this. I'm going to keep this in mind as I settle on my fitness goals.

Orrrrrr...maybe...just maybe, the OP builds up a lot of anxiety from time to time and listening to a nice harmonizing round of Kumbayah actually calms her down enough to realize that she's overreacting? :D

Take it easy on the OP. Self control early in the game takes practice. And plenty of us didn't get weight loss 'right' the first or second or third time around, erroneously believing self control means deprivation. It took me long *kitten* time to realize this. If you've struggle with weight much of your life than the…

Thanks so much, folks. You're right most of my family has weight issues. I will take the advice to not shoot for a specific number and keep my weight loss plans to myself. ????

I've noticed that the definition of 'bulky' tends to vary from person to person. A lot of people know that women don't get as bulky as men, but some women do grow larger muscles than other women. I usually find that those who are against women weight training tend to dislike even muscle definition on female bodies (think…

Eat less sugar...Eat more protein... And work out. That's what I'd do in your situation. As far as making your own food goes, yes, that is usually better since you're in control of what you put into it (not to mention it's cheaper), but you can still eat smaller portions when eating out and lose weight. I usually eat out…
