  • I wonder if I can use this to be approved for a standing desk
  • Try adding 200 calories. I found when I do the 1200 calories I can eat an egg and a piece of toast with butter and coffee for breakfast, then a sandwich and apple for lunch, and I felt like I had nothing left for dinner. Then I'd quit because I'd be starving. Especially since my day goes from 4am-9pm. So I upped it to 1400…
  • I luck out and work in a powerhouse where there's no vending machine. So I bring my lunch and there's no temptation. I try to get up as often as possible, but I just make sure when I get home I workout.
  • Lucky. It just made mine worse. I've had to take nexium daily, or I find alkazeltzer helps. Besides diet. Otherwise it gets so bad my chest hurts and it burns in my throat
  • All the above. My sister and her friend were on facebook talking about doing ACV shots. While my sister is doing WW and exercising so she's been losing weight, I'm sure her friend hadn't. She's convinced ACV is all she needs to lose weight. There's no magic unfortunately or we'd all be skinny easily. BTW ACV does nothing…
  • I haven't read any other comments. I'm waiting for the gym here to be built and then thinking of joining. Otherwise we have a gym in our garage (which isn't bad until it's hot as heck outside). I've been using an app called aaptiv lately because I have no clue what to do with gym equipment and I become unmotivated…
  • That's what I've had a problem with. I work 2 jobs, 1 is full time. The full time one is 4 10HR days starting at 6:30am. Plus a 90 minute drive one way. I've started meal prepping my food. I bought those 3 compartment containers for lunch and ensure that healthy stuff is in it (sometimes I sneak wheat thins in the small…
  • Red raspberry leaf tea. Try it, it helped so much with my cramping. I drink a cup at night. Either way it's worth a shot. I had cramps when I ran after I had my babies, I think it was the loose joints and not enough muscle support.
  • Come over to the army. Lol
  • an egg (we have 15 chickens so we have a lot of eggs) and toast with either butter or PB.... and coffee
  • I find if I'm unmotivated to do something then I don't push myself enough to get the benefits from it. If that's the case then maybe you should find something else you enjoy more. Whether that's bringing the dog for a longer walk (which she might enjoy) or spending more time lifting weights.
  • That's a good idea! I was off today so my husband and I went running with our almost 3 year old in the stroller. The older one was at daycare. We might make that a plan for Fridays. And maybe we can con my FIL with dinner to watch them for 30 minutes while we run on Saturday. I'll see how it works. If anything maybe we can…
  • We get 30 minutes, but I end up eating in the building because everyone else goes out (there's 8 of us) and the UPS and cleaning guy ends up showing up around lunch a lot of the time so I have to let them in the gate. I might start asking my boss to let me leave 30 minutes early. Or telling my husband to suck it up Monday…
  • You are my inspiration!
  • Try the new balance minimus shoes (I have the trail ones). I've owned a pair for a few years and love running in them. But don't start off long distances Start off slow and short distances. They'll tear your calf muscles up until you get used to them
  • I despise the treadmill. But with how late I run I end up on it. I occasionally get outside when my husband is home with me and we don't have the kids. I know there are jogging strollers, but that'd only work for my youngest.
  • We have chickens so...... eggs a lot. Though I've been eating oatmeal lately
  • That is awesome! You look like you feel so much healthier too. Congrats on the loss
  • This is so awesome to read! I only have about 20 to lose and these types of stories make me realize that it's not such a difficult journey
  • Never had that from running. I did get a lot of blood and toenails falling off when I did the Bataan death match last year, it took almost an entire year for my toenails to be normal again
  • Don't worry about college. I was in the best shape and the lightest of my life while in college. Just don't use it as an excuse to get lazy and eat crappy and you'll be OK. My family is Italian too and I got the "your too skinny eat some more" all the time. Thankfully I was athletic so I kept it off. Plus they act like…

  • Capartment syndrome. My phone sucks with words
  • Two of my friends in the military has this and it was bafflement syndrome I think. But I'd try changing shoes first. One of my calves is always tights because, I'm assuming, I have scoliosis so one side of my body is tight no matter what. I just love with it. I have found its easier to run using minimalist shoes, I have…
  • I haven't read anything else yet. I find when I don't have time I need to make time by waking up earlier and exercising then. That's my preferred method. What I've been doing recently is exercising as soon as I get home. Which, of course, life gets in the way sometimes (which is why I prefer morning). The mental drain is…
  • A few things. 1. My kids. I want them to realize that exercising is something you do so I can be healthy and so can they. Plus, I want to do things with them outside and not feel like I'm too tired all the time. 2. I'm taking company command so I want to look better and I want to do better on my pt test. 3. I'm really…
  • I also found out yesterday that my great aunt I grew up with (she was like a grandmother to me since we didn't grow up with ours) is in the hospital and it doesn't seem like she's going to make it. So that's been making me sad.
  • I exercise after work and I force myself to by telling myself I'm not allowed dinner until I do. Maybe you can't take a nap or watch TV until after the gym
  • You supposedly keep on track with exercising better if you do it early in the morning. Also, scheduling it in for the day helps. So if you schedule it for 7pm, then you workout at 7pm no matter what (like it's a work meeting). I've found that I do mine if I get right out to our gym at 6:30-7pm right after I get home. If I…
  • This time last year I was about 10lbs lighter. But I was mobilized and had a lot more time to exercise and eat better.
