  • I don't know about lower-cost options. I don't have a sharps bin so what *I* do (and I'm not advocating it for anyone else, as you could stick yourself) is recap the needle, unscrew it, and use the inner cap (ONLY if you're using novotwist, I wouldn't try it with the novofine innercap) or a chopstick, or something else…

  • I have, and he never once asked me for money or anything else the entire time (more than a year). He was out of work, but he wouldn't just accept anything that came along. He waited for the right position to come along and made do with various piecemeal work until it happened. He refused to apply for any social services…
