That would make me angry at first, but speak to him about it and I am sure his intentions are in your best interest. Speak about it and work on a more balanced approach together.

Thank you for replying maggiegirl65. I appreciate it. I had an overwhelming urge to write today, but haven't had a moment to myself - so yes, you may well have a good suggestion there and one that I will take up when the kids are in bed and the house is quiet. Thank you.

A few tips to help your weight loss journey; - Rest. With a new baby, and a breastfed one at that, your sleep will be interrupted, so make sure you get enough rest. Tiredness can lead to overeating, but it also slows weight loss in my experience. - Walk. With a new babe, go for long walks. Babies love to sleep and your…

I am also bf. My LO is 16 months though. I think your calorie deficit should take baby's age and need for breast milk into consideration. My LO eats three meals a day and snacks so, bf is more for comfort and therefore I am not too concerned about supply (the body will naturally provide what is needed, regardless - and…

You will feel better once you've worked out at the gym. Medicine for the mind. Stick to your plan.

+1 Loosley speaking; 80% of losing weight and keeping it off is through diet alone. Make sure you are eating fewer calories than you're burning and you will lose the weight. 20% is exercise. I find exercise goes hand in hand with diet for a number of reasons a) it is an obvious commitment to a better lifestyle b) you get…

Delicious!

Trying this! May even do it with some salted dark chocolate. Mmmm.

Research shows circa 0.5lbs weight loss extra per month on considerable green tea intake (not just a couple of cups). The sugar definitely will not be helping. Take a supplement if you don't like the taste or add it in powder form to a homemade smoothie/juice. Lose the sugar.

9 weeks to go. -2lbs per week. You need to eat 1200 calories, do fat burning cardio (130-140bpm) everyday. Eat conservative exercise calories back and stick to it day in/day out for next 9 weeks if that is what you really want.
-
Will be trying this tomorrow! Three favourite ingredients there - oats, banana and vanilla!

Uh, ok.

Eat more protein. Move more. Log exercise accurately. Eat back exercise calories. You can eat a lot if you're moving and still lose. You can eat a lot if you're exercising. It won't feel like punishment.

Please add me to the group. I would like to lose circa 18lbs. This will take me to my ultimate goal weight. With 9 weeks to go and at 2lbs a week, I don't see why it can't be done.

I think a lot of us felt that! You're not alone. Hindsight....

It's so early hon.... Seriously, take it slow. Eat healthy. Walk loads. The weight will drop off. Get serious after 12 months when your body has healed. I am only getting serious now that my 2nd babe is 16 months old, but sensible eating and moderate exercise got rid of 3 stone in that time. I have some way to go but feel…

I take pics of anything that looks particularly scrummy so I can make it again when my motivation is low. It's not consistent but I do love the look of my "new" food. Salads etc just look delicious.

Sugar free jelly. Home popped popcorn. Low fat yogurt. Drinks with sweetener or low cal hot chocolate. Ice lollies. And that's only if you really can't resist the munchies. Oh, and pre log a little feast and only eat what's already been logged. Good luck.

I check my weight daily too but don't take much notice of it simply because it does fluctuate and I am convinced our floors are uneven.... I head to the gym for a proper measure. Has kept me accountable this far. I love the body fat measurement. With diet and exercise mine has dropped dramatically.
-
That is really upsetting. Really upsetting. Feel the upset, but use it to make yourself feel better. Use it to work a little harder and to eat a little better. Sticks and stones etc....words do hurt and when they hurt our babies, they're very real. Don't let it beat you. Beat it.

+1 Also, sometimes women don't want you to solve their problems, they simply want you to listen. Ask her how you can help and then follow her lead. From the sounds of your original post, she needs a change but as others have said, this is not entirely down to you. A lot rests on her. Good luck.

I'd say yes. The shorter you are, the more dramatic any weight loss is - especially if you are toning too. Go for it and if you feel like losing more, then go for that too. Good luck.

Lol

My husband said my butt is smaller too. Loving the small changes already. It's taken 3weeks of solid dedication and it IS happening.

I have quit smoking...and quit smoking more than ten times before it happened for real (6+ years now)...so yes, I do understand that feeling - but the trick is to never stop trying to change for the better, because eventually you wil do it and it will be worth it. I am applying that to my weight loss journey too. This is…
