Are you going to be exercising too? If you are, I wouldn't worry too much because you can always "eat back" your calories. I have flipped and flopped from 1200 to 1300 and then to 1600 and 1500. You really need to play with them a bit to find out what it takes to lose. Sometimes, if you're eating too little, your body will…

I'm with you! I did Medifast for about a month and could not get ast the headaches and the hunger pains. It was rediculous. The only thing that works for me is eating 1600 calories a day and working out 5 days a week (running, strength training, cardio of some sort). I feel great, don't feel hungry or get the headaches,…

I have just begun reading this book last night and it really does make sence to me, too. I can't tell you how many fad diets I have been on, and nothing has worked permanently. It's only recently I have realized that even though it says sugar free, fat free or low fat, does not mean it's healthy. I have been overweight…

Honey, honey, honey..... you are putiing entirely too much pressure on yourself! Best advice I can give anyone is start small and add as you go. I could plan plan plan all day long, but if I never do it or if something comes up (like a sick child or a migraine), then I may not be able to do what I planned. Take it one day…

I would have to agree with you. I take a class called Group Power, twice a week, anyone familiar with this? It is a 60 minute barbell program that strengthens all your major muscles using simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, to heart pumping music. I wear my HRM while doing it and I burn…

This is the one I have: http://www.amazon.com/Timex-Health-Monitor-Ladies-T5K483/dp/B004SGJUF8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_dp_AAbKqb11ZM8GH_tt

I have a Timex HRM. No chest strap, just the wrist watch. IMO, it works really well. It shows me my hr, calories burned, and how long I've been working out. Occasionally, I have to clean off the back of the watch because dirt and sweat buildup can keep it from giving me an accurate hr. I paid around $30 for it. It will…

Agreed. I weigh in the mornings after I use the bathroom. But.... I only weigh on the days after I have had 24 hours for my muscles to recover from exercise. For example: I ran yesterday afternoon so I won't weigh again until tomorrow morning. Why? Your muscles swell after you workout and they need 24 hours to recover.…

Unless I get an egg white veggie omlett from the cafeteria at work, I usually try to find something quik and filling. My favorite breakfast (at home) is a coffee protein shake: 1 cup of coffee (mine is usually already made up with my sugar free hazelnut creamer), 1 scoop of 100% Whey protein powder, and ice. Throw that in…

I quit smoking in March of this year, I have asthma, and I'm overweight. I started the c25k three weeks ago but I repeated week 1 to make sure I was ready to move on, so I currently on week 2. I love this program! I make sure I take my inhaler 30 minutes before I head out and that seems to work. The program works on time,…

I am on week 2 and I have only lost 4lbs, however, I have gone down a dress size. I think the running is building muscle which is keeping the scale from going down. Week 1 takes 30 minutes, week 2 takes 31 minutes to complete. I will sometimes do TurboFire on the days between my c25k days. So far, it's the best thing I've…

I quit smoking in March but it took me a couple of months to recover. I also have asthma so the dream of running always seemed out of reach. I started the C25K and I am currently on week 2 (I did week 1 twice). Remember to take it slow. You are not expected to run a 9 mile/min out the door. I do it 3-4 times a week with a…

Absolutely! I love my tattoos! I currently have 6 and they are all in places that can be covered up. My next one is going to be my reward for hitting my GW. As far as meaning, I say, I's your body, get what you want. If you want it to have meaning, great! As far as pain, the most painful spot for me was on my achilies…

I officially started today as well. I just finished up the 5-day infurno, which was great and helped me get used to the routines. Not to mention that I lost 4lbs in those 5 days. And, yes, I look crazy trying to follow her. I do much better following Alley (the girl who does the moderate version). Once I can master her…

I'm with you, Sarahkov12, but sometimes I use frozen fuit to make it more like a frozen shake. Oh and I add a tbsp coconut oil if I'm replacing a meal.

The only concern with tea is the caffeine, so why not drink tea but make it decaffeinated tea? That way, your still getting your water but not the harmfull effect of caffeine. Just a thought!

Add me! I just started the 5-day Inferno this morning so that would be perfect! I need an accountability group!

I am 35 years old, 5'5" and CW 198. I am considered overweight and I will be starting TurboFire today. I am going to start with the 5-day Inferno Plan before I start though. You can add me as a friend and we can swap war stories! Lol! Good Luck!

I also use gnc pro preformance 100% whey protein powder. It is 120 calories and 20 g of protein. I mix one scoop in the blender with 1 cup light almond milk (40 cal), 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional 130 cal), and whatever frozen or fresh fruit I want. If I use frozen fruit, it makes it more like a milk shake. Love love love…

For something fast, I like the gnc lean 25. 25 g of protein. If I want something more filling, I make my own with 1 scoop of gnc pro preformance 100% whey (vanilla), 1 cup of almond milk, 1 tbs of coconut oil, and whatever frozen or fresh fruit I want to throw in. I mix all that in one of those magic bullets. Averages…
