well that's what MFP told me lol... I do sit a lot when I work at one job, but another is more active, so I set my self as moderate...

Oh this looks so super yummy! I can't wait to go home and make them! Going to be thinking about them throughout my 12 hour night shift!!

Yep - that is great progress!

Do you have an iPhone or iPod? I found the Nike Training Club app to be helpful. I also like Weight Training for Dummies. :) Or, hook up with a trainer during your 30 days. My trainer has been very helpful, but he's a friend so I text him all the time. LOL Heather

I don't have a problem with spending the time. I have lost about 30 lbs over a year (prior to joining MFP) and was just curious about the ways I could determine accurate calories as my favourite activity is going to my friend's kick *kitten* gym and flipping/pushing tires .... but I'm also kind of a typ-A control freak…

Thanks all :) I appreciate the feedback. I might try the body bugg, but I hate buying gadgets and finding out a few months later that they are just crap, lol. I hope they ship to Canada... lol Heather

I can keep a positive attitude through almost anything!

I haven't deleted anyone yet... but I'd probably have the same criteria for deleting facebook "friends". If you're a mean jerk then I unfriend and move on.... Heather

I wear yoga pants and usually a tight tank top or tight t-shirt over my sports bra not because I feel a need to flaunt anything but because I work out at a gym where we're doing bear crawls and funky moves and I don't like loose clothes that hang off me and get in the way. That's all. The only time I've stripped down to…

Not all of Canada has a pit bull ban... no ban here in Alberta.

Also, don't forget that it might take your body some time to get used to being properly hydrated. If you've been chronically dehydrated for a long time it may think it needs to store water.

I am inspired by people at the gym who are heavy. I've been the heavy person at the gym and I think I know how you are feeling. But YOU inspire me. Not the idiot looking at his biceps in the mirror or the very fit girl milling about the weight machines...

That man would not have survived that meeting with me.

It was when my trainer said my neck looked skinnier, lol...

I did it! I had to lose about 30 lbs and boost my strength so I could do the required amount of push ups. Great goal! Go for it!!

I disagree with whoever said unweighted exercises won't get you far. I was 30lbs overweight and when I joined the army I could do TWO pushups (from my toes). Do AS MANY from your toes as you can, when you have maxed out, do as many as you can from your knees. Repeat daily :) If you can do 30 push ups from your knees, that…

SO AWESOME!! Congrats!!

Same thing here. Although I did lose about 30lbs while still at a desk job. Now I work 12 hour shifts and sometimes only get a half hour break. If I get a full hour, I use the whole thing for a work out as high intensity as I can. Then I eat at my desk and work. If I get no work out break then I go for a walk when I get…

I had to run on 0 food when I did my military training. We used to hoard oranges so we'd have just a nibble before 0430 runs... I agree with whoever said that we eat because we have fasted for 8+ hours. I believe I gained wait because I didn't eat enough and kept my body in starvation mode, causing it to store everything…
