  • That's absolutely amazing...keep it up~!
  • Oh the alpha story: I wish I had some kind of super cool aha moment. It was really more of a string of moments. My son is a great athlete and I had always been able to keep up with him. Now that he's getting more skilled I was noticing that I couldn't do/demonstrate half the things I was asking him to do #dadfail. The…
  • Thanks gang...feels good to have some success. I'm not even close to being done yet though ;)
  • Crap I forgot the new pics lol
  • One foot in front of the other...we are all behind you
  • Congratulations to all of you...as a former C25k graduate all I can say is keep at it. If the longer runs concern you...just slow down and take it easy. Everyone wants you to finish and be successful so just carve your own success ;)

  • One day I will actually learn to read posts before putting them up lol... To be clear, I'm not discounting people that aren't skinny nor do I think that I am an adonis and should be treated as such. Having said that...good ideas guys, I'm not truly looking-looking but I would like to be in places where folks that like to…
  • I'm very pro trunk junk lol...My *kitten* is huge and ain't going away. I guess I should have come up with a better title for the post. ;)
  • I want to cycle so badly...I just haven't learned anything about bikes enough to actually buy one. I need one of you cats to loan me one once a week lol
  • I ran a couple of marathons in my 20s but really have been a lazy *kitten* most of the past 15 years. I'm back at it now...only pulling about 10 miles a week, but I'm consistent with it and starting to love it again.
  • Can someone please send some 6' women to Athens, GA...increasingly fit 40yr old dude seeks them for long-term companionship ;) Great job ladies
  • I am far from a dietician or someone who has been at this for 20 years, but I believe that as long as you're not knocking out 4 Kit-Kat's a day is the reason you are over your sugar count...keep on keeping on. Of course, as with everything, moderation is the key...but fruits are good for ya and there is natural sugars in a…
  • I love all the GA love on here...I'm from Athens and I absolutely believe that you can and WILL do it. Keep your head up and take it slow ;)
  • My ultimate pipe dream is to complete a triathlon. This would be amazing mostly because I can barely swim right now. I never learned how to as a kid and took a few lessons in my 30's. I really want to learn to conquer the water.
  • I rotate between Carnation instant breakfast...a bowl of honey nut cheerios...one egg scrambled on half of a sourdough english muffin. They are all under 200 calories, give me some variety and give me a little kick to start my day.
  • I have known plenty of people that have made money in MLM's and plenty that flopped. Ultimately; it just isn't for me. I've had people roll up on me constantly with "opportunities" b/c I'm friendly and know a lot of people. Ultimately you have to find something that works for you and you have to have a great team. And of…
  • Good luck...The best thing I've been told is that I only have to be healthy today. It is a very 12 step approach, but it is true...one day at a time is the only way to climb this mountain. Good luck SK
  • Dude I would kill for a 27min 5k...I'm killing myself to get to 30 min. I wish I had some great advice; but I got nothing. Good luck and great job
  • OBC, first of all nice shout out to Spurrier, even though he wore out UGA all these years he's a great coach and highly entertaining As far as your schedule and goals, I have the same advice I give to everyone. You have to plan out your days. Otherwise you'll be eating coaching crap all the time. I get caught eating…
  • Anyone that wants to claim GA is welcome ;)...Love all the peach state love y'all
  • It does start between your ears my friend, so I believe that mindset is the perfect word. Weight loss is a process and its very relational. You have created an environment that isn't encouraging your weight loss. It is very similar to being in a bad or abusive relationship; when your in it its hard to make change...until…
  • I rotate my breakfasts...usually its a cup of cereal and barely enough milk to get the cereal wet...I think its about 200 cals...otherwise I'll have half a sourdough muffin and half of one egg; only about 150 cals. I just have to eat something to start my days; otherwise I'm a bear. 3 cups of cereal is a lot. I agree you…
  • C25K is awesome!!!! I completed it about 7 years ago and it showed me I do like running. Even though I've fallen off the wagon several times; I always come back to the things I learned with the program. Congrats and keep going!
  • Bro, prayers with you...you can do this.
  • One day at a time...Friends help; you've got this
  • That is an amazing story. I'm sorry for your loss. Your story is encouraging, inspiring, and hopeful. Prayers with you and your family and congratulations on your success!
  • I truly believe that, for me, motivation and will power just aren't the key. I had to create habits and make eating better and exercising as easy and accessible as being fat and slovenly. I'm sure people will disagree, but it isn't goals or pure will but actually taking a couple of hours on sunday night to get juices made,…
  • I am on the scale almost daily, but I only actually "record" my weight once a week. I look at it daily really to just see how my body is responding to different exercises and foods on a daily basis. I record in my notes how I feel and what my mindset is. Good luck my man, you can get this!
