  • I deleted one the other day as watching someone log 600 cals exercise and also being 600 cals under their low goal was too much for me. since the only place they would've found be was on em2wl cos that's the only place I hang out, or maybe from a mutual friend. I just saw someone posting on a friends diary..."well done for…
  • Scoobys Workshop has a resistance band workout and try Fitness Blender. Ive been adding them in too, I still get a good burn.
  • I have a Fitbit one but cant help you sorry but there will be someone on the link that can http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/1307-fitbit-users Good luck
  • I would agree too, my deficit is set to 10-15% max, which is about 250-370 cals. All those wee bits do sneak up and I think its more important when you have less to lose to count as there is less wiggle room ....just my 2cents from what I've learned.
  • I have a fitbit & I'm trusting it and its working. It allows me to eat a bit more on high burn which means I'm less likely to go over the next day. I was surprised a my burns too, higher than I thought but it's working. I think we naturally underestimate how active we are. As far as fat calc, personally I find it hard to…
  • I'm Rachel too and an ex WW so add me in too. Just say your from em2wl incase I forget...Welcome :)
  • I think for a lot of people they don't have the right activity level set. But I would imagine the days you maybe don't exercise would mean for a lot of people your probably wouldn't be eating your bmr? Personally for me if I ate at their settings but didn't exercise like yesterday my goal would be 1530 of 1830( that is…
  • I have been using my fitbit for nearly a month and have it set to mfp with a -250 cal and eat back all exercise. I probably average eating about 2000-2200. After Christmas I decided I would drop some cals I had been eating at 2000 with no problems just a few Christmas pounds. Dropped to 1850 and increased scal weight too.…
  • Yip I can, it has changed my workouts big time.... No more gym!! Studiosweatondemand.com. They rock and have a few free intro classes Studio sweat on demand rocks!!!!!!
  • My non- expert advice would be go with what you feel comfortable with, dive in or take baby steps. Since you were already eating back your cals your deficits probably havent been too huge and hopefully net over your BMR. With all your activity you may want to consider a 15% deficit instead of 20%. If you are still netting…
  • I'm an ex weight weather too. Took me 8 months to get to goal and then stalled big time. No wonder as I was like you with daily burns and cal intake. I could never get a straight answer regarding eating more for my exercises. But then again I was about the only one in my group you actually did much. One night they…
  • Fantastic news and good on you for trusting in the process...you won!!!:flowerforyou:
  • Feel free to add me....I a big fan of em2wl have been here for a year. I think all my friends are em2wl.....lol:) that goes for anyone else here too. Just pop a wee message in so I know where you found me.
  • I am probably very similar to you. My weight remained the same even within 100g for nearly two years. I had completed weight watchers so yes those cals would have been low and my net whould scare the hell out of me know. I did lose some cms and fat % while the scales remained the same. Within the last few weeks I bought a…
  • I think that last 5-10lbs is that hardest. My goal this year is lose this stubborn last 5kg...I would love it, but all I really want is to be smaller and change my body comp. But I can tell you last year I ate mainly at 2000 and lost no weight the scales were totally stuck even within 100gr BUT I lost cms and fat (caliper…
  • When you do a reset you actually eat at your TDEE , but make sure at the same time you NET your BMR.... so if your exercise cals bring your net under you have to eat some more.......does that make sense. Lots of new things to learn I know. I'm not familiar with the Body Media readings sorry.
  • I would say that wold be a good number you could maybe go up 100. One of the main things is to never NET below your BMR. So if your cal intake - exercise is below 1550 then you need to eat some more to get there. I'm only going by the figures you gave me so i'm not sure on your age weight, height etc though. Have you tried…
  • I was just going to say the same thing, slowly build up. Back in my weight watchers days I had negative days....OMG now do I know better!!! Heaps of support around here from everyone who has been and still travelling through this journey. Trust me once you are eating 2000 you will wonder how you ever survived before...I…
  • Sorry:flowerforyou:
  • I'm really new to fitbit...6 days so far. But I will be making sure that I eat my bmr. For me at the moment my goal is 2000, I've eaten 1794 and my adjustment is 653 so my net is 1141....so I will be eating another 350ish to make sure I net my BMR. Unsure if this helps you, someone more experienced with fitbit may help.…
  • I guess heart rate readings are quite unique to people and is connected to their cardio health etc. I can keep mine quite high for a Good time and my trainer used to comment on it. But my friend had a weird thing that the harder the workouts hers would drop. Might be to do with blood pressure, but I'm no expert on it. Have…
  • That's great news!! I find if I've had a low cal/high burn day the next morning I will generally wake with a wicked headache. Probably dehydration I guess. I hope the continue to get better because they suck !!!!!:flowerforyou:
  • My personal trainer used to measure the following Top of arms midway shoulder& elbow Forearm ....I can't be bothered with this one myself...lol Calf, standing up and in biggest part, mine is about 15cm down from below knee ...but I have short legs Thigh, about 15cm above top of knee Chest Bum Hips , I use mid hip bone as…
  • Thanks for your suggestions, I've been MIA for 3 months due to illness but prior to that my tdee according to scooby calc was bang on, my weight remained exactly the same to 100gm(for 2 years).........but I guess at the back of my mind I've always wondered if it had stalled due to under eating or that was me. Strangely…
  • Do you find the fitbit is helping you lose( I'm just guessing you are)... Really keen but I tend to live on a thin edge knife of healthy interest vs nutty addiction....lol I'm sure even eating 1850 daily and always netting my bmr I'm probably still too low, which is why my last kgs is hard although cms and fat loss ok.…
  • Feel free to add me, I've been MIA for a bit but have been on this forum since nearly the beginning. Everyone is so helpful and full of tips and education for all :). This years goal is 5kg to lose, 20 gone but would love a bit more
  • Feel free to add me, I've been here since nearly the beginning but MIA for a while but back and set for 2013!!!
  • I'm just going to bump as I was about to ask a question regarding them too, soI'll jump in if its not too cheeky:bigsmile: I'm looking at a fitbit of some type...zip, ultra, one....anyway I was looking at devices and it seems I would only be able to sync with my mac as my phone is 3gs(too old now:sad: and I have ipad2(…
  • Some interesting stats at the end to back up small steps at a time. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-jade-teta/making-change_b_2371829.html
  • mmmm well im not familiar with your hrm but my one does need age and height in, its a polar ft4. if you want to compare I'm 39 yr old female, 5ft2 144lb and when I do 1, 30 day shred my hrm burn is 200 cals too. hrm can be innaccurate when worn for 24hrs due to oxygen input/outage apparently but I have worn mine for 24hrs…
