  • sending you a friend request! good luck!
  • Great question. I am often under my calorie goals, but due to my job, I get home later and don't want to eat 500 or 600 calories after I've had dinner- especially since I'm not hungry. Is it better to be under the net calories and not eat to fill the requirements just before I go to bed? Or should I be eatting just to eat?
  • You can add me as a friend!
  • Great job! Keep up the good work.
  • Love this idea too! And then stop by her house with a cheesecake to "share" and leave before she cuts you a piece!
  • I don't enjoy workouts. In the past I have set goals like walking 45 minutes at a time 4 days a week. I would end up looking at the treadmill while I was watching TV thinking I didn't have the energy to walk and I found that I would skip it. Now I have decided I will walk 10 minutes twice a day six days a week. I know this…
  • In previous weight loss efforts, I would often shave off calories, or add a touch more than the serving size. After all, how much could that extra glass of wine or a couplemore crackers make a difference. Not any more! If this is going to be a life long change in my eating patterns, I need to know, as accurately as…
  • We've all done it. Either say "that's it- I'm done" or "Shouldnt have done that! Won't make that mistake again." Keep going... if you feel this guilty after one bad choice, just think of how you would feel if you continued the behavior. Now, suck it up, get back on track, and remember you ARE worth it!
  • How can you make it out of there without a piece of cheesecake?!? You must have a lot if self control
  • Great idea!!! I'll have to try that!
  • You'll get thinner... chances are they won't get smarter.
  • I love Stacey's pita chips- the multigrain are great. And I just tried fat free feta cheese- I couldn't tell the differnce. Also new to me is Ken's Steakhouse light options olive oil dressing- great flavor with half the calories of the lite version.
  • My 2 cents worth (and that is probably overpriced)... let him log his way, and you keep a litte journal with what he ate at which meal. You don't have to be as specific since it is in log. Then, since he is new to the program, wait a week or so and see how he is doing. If his way is working for him, let him be; however, if…
  • If your brothers, or your uncles, or close friends made a similar remark, how would you react? I am appauled by his remark, and hope you are too. I am guessing he is transferring his insecurities onto you, but that is no excuse. I hope he is spending a couple of nights in the doghouse (although, personally, I think that is…
  • Feel free to add me.
  • I am a night snacker... I am fine all day, but when I get home I want to continually eat- which is what I am trying to avoid now. I usually read posts on here, but always keep some calories set aside in case I give in to temptation. I usually try to exercise, drink plenty of water, and tell myself I will snack in 10…
  • Have you tried Stacey's multi-grain pita chips? Love them with hummus, and it seems like you get a good size portion.
  • By the way- I just used frozen whipped topping instead of freezing.
  • Just tried this... OMG... it is great!!!!
  • In a blender mix very cold nonfat, 1% or 2% milk, add ice cubes, fruit of you choice, and blend up. Tastes like a milk shake without all the quilt.
  • Bump!! These sound great!
  • I think we may- at the least- be related Age: 42 Height: 5'4" SW- 228 CW- 219 Goal: don't know till I get there- want to feel healthier!

  • Love the veggie lettuce wraps- much better than the chicken,
  • Well, here's the good thing... you can always lose weight, but chances are he will never grow more brain cells!
  • The water will make a difference. Also watch your sodium intake- expecially if you aren't getting in the water. Do you eat many veggies? For me, they seem to help lose the weight. Maybe it's the fiber. Did you take measurements? Check those- sometimes the scale won't show it, but they will. Also, if you have greatly…
  • Although I am not vegetarian, I love the Boca veggie chicken patties. Very low in calories and taste good. I also keep shrimp on hand- low in calories and can be used in so may ways. I keep it in the freezer and just take out what I need and thaw.
  • I had the opposite problems years ago. I wasn't happy, and thought losing weight would make me happy. I lost 65 pounds, and kept it off for 4 years. Then I started to realize I was the same person- with the same insecurities and problems I had when I was heavy. Although my love life had picked up, I still wasn't happy. I…
  • I think anyone who struggles with weight can relate to your problem. Instead of thinking how often you overate, think of how often you stick to your goals. If you had one good day, it was one more than you would have if you didn't make any changes at all. Then try to commit to increasing the number of good days because it…
