  • stairs. i challenge you to go up and down just one flight of stairs 50 times and time yourself. move quickly and keep knocking time off. it takes approximately 1714 steps to go up 1000 ft of elevation. also, do you have any hills or better yet woods near you. we do right out our back door and my wife and kids go hiking…
  • Nice....made me smile.....and hungry!

  • I took a break from the healthy lifestyle aobut a year ago by eating 3+ donuts at least 4-5 days a week for about 3 months. I think that qualifies
  • I still eat chocolate too. I eat it most days in the form of milky way dark, hershey's special dark, sugar free chocolate pudding, or semi sweet chocolate chips. I actually eat a treat of some sort every day and again right before bed. i also still eat donuts once in awhile as well as lasagna, ice cream, and cookies every…
  • "Jingle Bells" was actually written for Thanksgiving.....true story
  • my rule is to always cheat against your own favor. If you are at question whether you are light or sedentary then go with sedentary. If you aren't sure whether you ate 4 or 6 oz of some food, log 6 oz. In the end what really matters is what works for you. there is only one constant for everyone - you have to eat but at a…
  • you should look at my diary as i eat sugar everyday. you just have to find what works for you. a healthy calorie deficit with exercise is the way to go. make sure to log everything and weigh your food to assure accuracy. If you look at this as i will never be able to eat this or that again you most likely won't make it. I…
  • Praise the Lord for your victory! I too have beaten addiction. Mine was to meth, coke, and tons of beer. Don't miss it a bit. Congrats and GREAT WORK!!!
  • Praise the Lord for all of these victories! He took my alcohol addiction away on 2/21/10. He took my drug addictions away in '06. Haven't smoked cigarettes since Jan '01. I haven't gambled or viewed porn for many years either. All the praise and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
  • My 16 year old son is a bean pole and can eat what he wants. He has been known to eat 10 scrambled eggs in one sitting
  • from 7/12 - 3 mile run and 2.5 mile walk
  • evening of 7/11 rode 14 miles on bike
  • ran 2 miles and did 3.5miles on the bike with my 10 year old at the Y. will go out on a bike ride and log it after while!
  • A friend of mine told me about this challenge so here I am. My goals for the rest of the month of July are 50 miles running and 125 miles biking. Here we go now!
  • Works both ways. My wife is a clutterer and has a hard time throwing things out and won't say "no" to anyone offering her anything. I just wake up or come home and get it picked up. really doesn't take too long and it's definitely not worth fighting to change her after nearly 15 years
  • Air1 has an app you can download and they play a lot of really great music. You can also listen to them online and they post a list of song titles with artists
  • thanks for posting. I missed 3 i think
  • This sounds great, I'll have to try it. Not sure how it will go over with the kids though. I will brown cubed steak then put it in a crock pot with green beans, potatoes, and tomato juice
  • You Won't Relent, Glory to God, or Jesus Paid it All
  • You shouldn't need to be at 1200 calories everyday. You should be eating back 1/2 of your workout calories in my opinion. Somedays I will burn 600 - 800 calories working out. This gives me the freedom to indulge (within reason) in some extras or at least more healthy food
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. I can tell you that you need to incorporate some sweets into your calories. I do all the time and have lost 54 lbs so far. I still have a whole Jack's pepperoni pizza usually once a week. I still have donuts at least once a week sometimes more. I just make sure to keep the exercise up and…
  • I have actually hit the carbs and ice cream hard when i've hit the wall. I let myself gain back 2 pounds then hit it hard again. The spike gets your matabolism going again. The other thing i did was started running. That has really started knocking off my last 15 lbs.
  • Not everyone will agree with this and it may not work for everyone but I drink 2 liters of water but i still drink quite a bit of diet soda as well. I have lost 50 lbs since May and am maintaining just fine. Oh, and when possible, I buy the caffeine free
  • I still eat a whole Jack's Pepperoni pizza once a week. I just make sure to be really good and take smaller portions during the day and then exercise for sure the next morning if not sooner after eating. I've lost 51 lbs since May 1st keeping pizza in my diet
  • you can try a couple of things that have worked for me. I spike once in a while. I eat anything I want. Pizza, ice cream, candy bars, anything. I will gain back 2 lbs or so. I then take a couple (4-5) days off from gym as well. I went back and hit it hard and dropped 10 lbs quickly. I have read that spiking with…
  • the answer is actually "both" You should eat something light an hour (no joke) before and then protein after. Not too much especially if you head to bed soon after. that's all
