  • You could always just use water and a sponge. Most of the dirty/grimy stuff you should be able to just wash off that way, if you don't feel like going to the store to get soap.

  • I have mine set to about 1320, and I eat back my exercise calories as well. I'm losing 1.5-2lbs per week (a healthy amount)
  • I eat mine, unless I work out too late and don't really feel like eating before I go to bed. I don't eat "all" of them back though, because I don't have and HRM and don't entirely trust MFPs calculations.
  • I loved Harvest Moon! Also, I'm the same with regard to WoW. I KNOW that I would have an addiction issue, and the best way to avoid that is to not start playing. Mental health, social life, etc...

  • Exactly. I will comment on people's diaries when they are near their goal, but if they are a few hundred calories or more below, I just don't comment. I don't feel a "good job" would be a good comment when they are starving themselves, but at the same time, I can't make them change, so I don't see the point in chastising…
  • Go for it! just make sure you keep drinking lots of water, and get back on track after the weekend is over. I've had splurge days here and there, and it hasn't slowed down my weight loss so far.
  • I love that calculator, I always check is before I go to chipotle, and I RARELY get the burritos anymore because the tortilla is ridiculously bad for you, so I just get the bowl.

  • I use almond milk when I drink shakes or smoothies, and I get soy when I go to coffee shops. If you're having a hard time mixing the protein powder w/ the almond milk, there's nothing wrong with using skim.
  • Google? Never heard of it. Sounds like something a baby would say.
  • I think that according to your picture you look fine weight-wise. If you lose much more you'd be too skinny and look unhealthy. You can, however, work on toning and building muscles and improving your eating habits, but you don't need to lose weight.
  • If we could see your diary to see where your fat is coming from, it would help. But in general, if something comes in a fat free version (dressings, cream cheese, etc.), buy that.
  • You need to make your diary public if you want someone to be able to comment on it. however, if you are looking for calorie-dense foods, do a google search and you should come up with some things that are healthy but high in calories.
  • Didn't get a chance to log yesterday, so here's both days. i'm not sure how accurate my pedometer is for how much I walk at work (I go back and forth from one end of the building to another a lot), so I'm only taking 2/3 of my work miles. 1st:: 4.5 2nd: 2.6 So I'm off to a slow-ish start w/ only 7.1 miles -- I have a 3 day…
  • I would wear nothing but t-shirts if I could, so I don't have this problem, but I do have some "memory" type shirts from other things that no longer fit me, I'm planning on doing the t-shirt quilt thing with them one of these days...
  • I don't like the sugar free syrups b/c I don't like artificial sweeteners, so I usually go with a shaken iced tea (lightly sweetened) or an iced coffee with some soy milk. I'd rather go with only 1 pump of regular flavor syrup than to get the full portion of the sugar free stuff.
  • I'm one of the "if it's not moldy or funny smelling, I'll still eat it" type people, probably because money is tight and it's wasteful to throw things away. I'd say go ahead and eat them, but it's up to you.

  • Sometimes when I go running I tell myself I am training for the zombie apocalypse when I may need to do a fair amount of running and staying in shape. Same with strength training -- I need to be able to wield that chainsaw, and wimpy arms aren't going to cut it!

  • I use britachu or a variation for most things I do on the internet. I think it came about during college -- a combination of my name (Brit) and pikachu (someone drew a pikachu on my dorm whiteboard, and things just went from there).

  • Most days you're 1000-2000 calories below your goal!! If you're exercising that much, you need to eat back some of those calories!
  • I would change to "active" if that is what your average day looks like. I have mine set for lightly active and don't do nearly that much in a day!
