Agree 100%. I have stopped eating lots of foods over the years because I simply like too many foods to eat them all without becoming overfat. Some foods make the cut and some don't.

a stationary bike should be quiet since it is no impact. Elliptical is also pretty quiet.

There is nothing healthy about eating 600-900 calories per day. How is your fat intake? Fat is a necessary nutrient and an easy way to add calories. Nuts, nut butters, avocado, cook with butter or oil, dress salads with olive oil based dressings, etc.

Oh yes, I forgot fruit! Pineapples and peaches are wonderful grilled.
-
It just makes you poo more. It doesn't really do anything a properly functioning body wouldn't do on it's own, just might speed the process up a bit.

Breakfast: big mug of tea Lunch: huevos rancheros Dinner: broccoli chicken casserole

More likely it's just a type of dieter's euphoria from starting a new plan. It's not uncommon but eventually your body will rebel and want FOOD. It needs food. Be careful when this happens not to binge eat. Fat is high calories and makes food taste better. Try adding a little more to your meals. Use olive oil in salad…

I nuke it with garlic until soft, add reduced fat sour cream, salt and pepper and use an immersion blender to get to the desired consistency. Mashed turnips are also really good and low carb/calorie.

When you had blood work did they specifically test for a thyroid problem? You are at the age when the risk of thyroid problems increases greatly for women so you might want to mention the fatigue and problems with weight loss to your doctor. Those are classic symptoms of hypothyroidism. We don't have horses but I also live…

If you were truly satisfied on 1000 calories it's unlikely you'd need to lose any weight. How much fat are you eating?
-
If you eat crap it's because you choose to eat crap. But carbs aren't crap, they are fuel. If you want to eat less of them then eat something else. Keep foods you want to eat on hand. But even if you eat nothing but 'crap' you won't gain weight unless you eat more calories than you burn.
-
At your age and height you would likely not be gaining weight at 1800 calories every day and certainly not at 1200 - 1500 per day unless you've developed a medical condition affecting weight. But your post sounds more like you are overeating. How sure are you of your calories? Why do you feel so out of control?

If you are happy with your weight then switch to maintenance. There is never a better time to start focusing on fitness than right now.
-
I would suggest getting back to your normal schedule for a while and see what happens before getting upset over 1kg gain. It will likely sort itself out.
-
Eat within your maintenance calories. That can be achieved in any way you want. You can skip dessert, have smaller portions of everything including dessert, skip breakfast, exercise more, whatever. How and whether you do it is up to you, but the only way to do it is to not eat more than you burn.

It's hard to tell what someone else will like but basically any drink with no/little sugar that you enjoy should be fine. Diet drinks, unsweetened or artificially sweetened tea or coffee, milk or milk substitutes. Water is also great. :) If you don't like plain water try adding fruit or cucumber slices. Or there are a…

Swordfish, thick cut bone-in pork chops, , venison backstrap, ribs, salmon (on the occasions we can find a piece thick enough to grill), jumbo peel-n-eat shrimp, beef tenderloin, skin-on bone-in chicken, turkey breasts, just about any type of sausage potatoes, brussel sprouts, asparagus, broccoli spears, cabbage 'steaks',…

so far I've had a venison and black bean burrito. Planning a shrimp and vegetable stir fry in kung pao sauce for dinner.

Red wine is not empty calories. It contains probiotics, antioxidants and vitamins and minerals. I drink wine almost every single day and did the same the entire time I was losing weight (2 years in maintenance).
-
I make a point to 'exercise' (purposeful exercise solely for the sake of getting exercise) regularly through the winter.

dirty rice meatballs stuffed peppers or mushrooms bolognese sauce over pasta or vegetables or a baked potato lasagna meat loaf chili burgers zucchini or eggplant boats beef and potato hash topped with eggs

Sweets don't cause fat gain anymore than any other food of the same calories. If you are not losing fat or losing it too slowly it is because you are consuming too many calories. Do your illnesses or medications cause water weight gain?
-
Your first sentence has the answer. You are a week in. Give it time.
-
Day to day it really shouldn't vary greatly from what you experienced when losing weight. How much that is varies from person to person.

If she wasn't counting the calories, how would she know they put her beyond her goal?
-
If you are eating at a calorie deficit in hopes of losing weight you are already on a diet, so I assume you mean some type of prescribed or structured diet. It's really up to you. Do you think having rules to follow would help?
-
It could be many things, including psychosomatic if you view the burger as unhealthy or felt guilty for eating it. If your husband had the same meal and is fine food poisoning does seem unlikely. Unless it happens often it's probably just a random thing.

Breakfast: big mug of tea Lunch: venison and black bean burrito Dinner: shrimp stir fry (sugar snaps, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peppers, peanuts) in a kung pao sauce

I'd call it "where is the rest of my bread?!"

IDK why in the world you would care about a thigh gap but with your build your best bet might be liposuction or cool sculpting that area. Otherwise you'll likely have to lose so much on other parts of your body that you don't like the way they look. But you look good now. You have a lovely hourglass figure.
