It is very disrespectful of both the spouse and children. Whether they want or plan to change their diet is not so much the issue as is their complete lack of support for someone they should love and respect. You are his spouse. You are their mother. You are struggling and they refuse to help. Yes, that is disrespect.

On days I work from home I workout mid-day on my lunch hour. On days I go into the office I either walk at lunch or do not workout On the weekends, if I do a 'workout' at all it's usually shortly after I wake up (usually around 9:30 a.m.).

A lot of people reply to the subject line without reading the post.

I don't believe that was the case either. He was most likely just an a-hole. Hopefully he has grown out of it.

Well at least they won't be gassy!

Serving sizes on the package have little to do with what would be considered a normal serving. It's just whatever fits the number of fat, calories, fiber, etc. that the marketing department decides will look good on a label.

Typically it's Breakfast: 0 Lunch: 300-400 Dinner: 900-1100 on weekdays, 2000-2500 on weekends Snacks: 0

IDK what is meant by a "normal serving" of cereal, but both cereal and pizza can be part of a healthy diet. Eat what you prefer.

I could see it leading to obsession. I thought I ate mindfully but when I read up on it I realized I did nothing close to that. We always eat in front of the TV. I think intuitive eating is more what I do than mindful eating. I enjoy my food but I don't think about each bite as I eat.
-
This exactly.
-
What? I hope that is what you lose not gain.
-
I think you mean inference because I did not imply that. I'll try to explain what I meant. Just as you discussed your desire to do your dance thing and devote the kind of time it took to do it right, we discussed buying undeveloped land and building it into a farm. Now that the children are grown and gone it is a lot of…

No. I won't believe it and you can't make me. Unless the weight you lost was not fat or you lost it via a medical procedure such as cool sculpting or liposuction.

Fruits that you like and fit into your calorie budget. Barring allergy/intolerance all fruits are healthy so just eat what like. Don't make it harder than it needs to be.
-
It doesn't 'work'. You do the 'work' by eating less than you burn. IF may or may not make that work easier for you, depending on your schedule and personality. It's just an eating schedule.

I'm 55 and lost weight (mostly) using IF as well. But the bolded section above is true whether you do IF or not. You must create a calorie deficit to lose fat no matter what diet you follow or when you eat. I was eating IF when I gained weight too. I've eaten that way for decades, though I never heard the term until I…

I was really just looking to remove the health risk of being overweight, but I do enjoy wearing things that accentuate my figure again.

I guess it depends on why you are considering it and for how long. It wouldn't necessarily be unhealthy if done short term. It may not feel like punishment or be unpleasant for you. It may help you reach your goal a day or two sooner. BUT, it could be unhealthy if done for too long or in the short run if you have health…

I would not mix meds without talking to your doctor first, but you could ask if an OTC diuretic like Diurex would be okay.
-
I could. But since the OP changed the title and it has nothing to do with the meme I feel like it might be hijacking the thread at this point.
-
Sorry, I knew it wasn't your comment. It just seemed so out of the blue I could not figure out what the heck prompted it and it suddenly hit me that for some reason the other poster thought I was talking about money.
-
To each his own, but I'd rather eat what is in the meme.
-
I doubt you'll find it for less than that unless you can find it at a yard sale or something. $100 seems like a decent price to me.
-
So it does. I guess I was projecting from the original title.
-
I don't see anything in the list that is not healthy. But as noted above clean and healthy aren't the same things. I think it would be a good meme if it used the word healthy instead of clean. The problem isn't that those foods are not healthy, it's that (presumably) too many calories are being consumed.

It's your body. You can eat whatever you want.

Bread is clean?

Absolutely it can for some people. It is very helpful for me.
