I'm in the Old Forest, currently in the Bonfire Glade. Rumor has it that this is the home of Old Man Willow...I have several miles to go before I meet up with that old tree.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword definitely! I'm hoping the boyfriend will buy me the one that comes with the golden wiimote for Christmas! (Because it comes with MotionPlus, of course...not because its shiny...really!) I will admit that I am content to wait a year or two for prices to drop with games, but NOT Zelda games.…

SW: 227 GW: 220 (Total loss would be 40 lbs. overall) Self Goal: Do 5000 crunches of varying types during the month. If possible, purchase jeans in next size (or 2 down).

I'm just past Crickhollow! I'm pretty sure I'm walking more than I put in my ticker, but because all I have is a cheap pedometer and I do 85% of my walking indoors in my office building, I have no accurate way to know how far it is. Tips for a better system?

Agree! I hope the local stores carry it.

I have the 90 calorie/cup Vanilla PureAlmond milk; I find that I can't drink it straight, but I eat it with my Kashi heart-to-heart cereal and could tolerate the difference. Note: I have been a skim milk drinker since I was 14. I suddenly developed lactose intolerance about 2 months ago. I was VERY skeptical about trying a…

No advice here; I weigh 3-4 times per day to see when the best time to weigh myself is. For me, it's actually in the afternoon when I get home from work before I have supper. I'm with the graph-inclined folks; I want to see my weight fluctuations over time, and even throughout the day. Mind you, I don't let a 2.5 pound…

5' 9.75" here, and the goal weight is 170 (to get to a healthy weight first). I am more focused on health and fitness than "looks" though. The 170 is to be able to tell my doctor that I am at a healthy weight, even if she tells me to lose more. After that, no matter what I might look like when I get to 170, I'm going to…

No such thing as too late; welcome! We all have our different paces and favorite exercises to get us to Mordor. This is totally for you, but we like to tell each other where we are every few days in case a Nazgul gets you so we can mount a rescue mission. :) Please post back if you have questions about the websites,…

Farmer Maggot just dropped us off at the Buckleberry Ferry and we met up with Merry there...any second now we're going to look back at the bank and see a Black Rider!

Not the biggest, but certainly recent... I was going to let Jillian beat me up with the Shred on Wednesday night, but I was tired so I did 5 sets of 20 crunches instead. I was going to let her beat me up yesterday night, but I had a friend coming over for dinner so I cleaned the house instead. Maybe Jillian will make an…

I think the only thing I liked about being overweight was my cup size! I'm fairly sure that by the time all is said and done I'll be back to a "Barely A". :grumble:

I know you said you'd already bought your flapper costume, but in reference for next year... http://www.brandsonsale.com/ca-012737.html That's supposed to be rainbow arm -and- leg warmers for Rainbow Brite. $14.99 for both probably isn't a bad thing if you have the rest of the costume. :)

StumbleUpon has showed me Pinterest, but I saw that you needed an invite and didn't know what to do about that.

Don't know where in the country you are or how warm Halloween will be but... - Print pictures of Sigmund Freud off your computer and tape them to a full slip = Freudian Slip - Buy an old white sheet, attach used packages from your trash = White Trash (my grandmother did this one in her retirement community and won a prize)…

I'm at Farmer Maggot's finally! We're holding him up for 'shrooms. *wicked hobbit grin*

I'm approaching Farmer Maggot's house; I'm wandering along in his fields right now. Mushrooms, anyone??

William Shatner is only in Star Trek. Star Wars has Harrison Ford! (Among other notables. Is the Voice of James Earl Jones its own entity? It probably should be!) I was allowed to watch Star Wars far before I ever saw Star Trek. I think I may have been 11 or 12. I was at least in junior high/high school before I could…

My boyfriend was the same way; didn't want me to be any smaller because he is large, too. I told him up front that I'm not losing weight to be "skinny" --I'm losing it to be healthy. And if he needs a visual, I can point to the BMI where it says "Obese" in big red letters and show him that it's going to take at least 65…

I'm with you; I record my "absolute" weight on MFP but then just have to accept that I'll be 3-4 lbs. heavier at the doctor's office... I feel gypped, though. What was 10 lbs. down since my last visit is now just 7lbs. But I think I'm even more annoyed when my doctor said, "Oh, so the medication is working/helping." Of…

My only pet peeve with LOTR was with Return of the King and not putting in the Scouring of the Shire. Other than that, no complaints. I'm even willing to overlook some of the dubious aspects of the Narnia movies (I understand that some changes had to be made to adapt them to screenplays). However, I have to this day…

Right? And then, he puts you through thinking that he's bought the farm and turns up later to save your butt. What is that all about?

Haha, I've never quite thought of it that way! Gandalf did indeed stand you all up. We just crossed the Stock-brook, still being pursued by a Black Rider. O.O

^^ Yes for "Princess Bride"! Ancestor: "Well, we can't ALL be acupuncturists!" -- 'Mulan' Yzma: "Pull the lever, Kronk!" -- 'The Emperor's New Groove' (and so many more good quotes from there!) Benny: "Hey O'Connell! It looks to me like I've got all the horses!" O'Connell: "Hey Benny! Looks to me like you're on the wrong…

Ever since I had a car to call my own! Gunther was my 1995 wine-colored Buick Regal; I wanted a name for a crusty older uncle type, since he was 10+ years old when I got him...my brother came up with the name. Gunther was sold to a college kid friend of mine who desperately needed a car for nursing clinicals--she paid $1…

I was drying my hands in the restroom at work, when another lady (don't know her; she's not in my department) came in and started exclaiming how much weight I've lost! I was shocked! Not only because I don't know her (and am positive I've never mentioned to anyone outside my department that I'm on a diet), but because I'm…

Awesome. I am currently replaying through Myst IV; I shall have to see if the library around here has those books. I am attempting to finish the core Honor Harrington series by David Weber. I am now on "At All Costs" which is the next-to-last that he's written (so far). I haven't decided if I want to branch out into the…

There are a couple of sites that provide code for free tickers. Personally, I like www.lilyslim.com; it is easier and more reliable for me to update my ticker there. When you sign up, you will title your ticker and put in the total distance, etc. for whatever leg of the road you are undertaking. Welcome! Right now I am in…

Haha, thanks! I happen to be the momma of 2 brave yet mischievous rabbits named MacGyver and Phoenix. If people like Beatrix Potter and Brian Jacques hadn't beaten me to it, I could have done a book series about them. :) All the LOTR stuff is totally my realm--I used to write fanfiction...and read it a good bit too! My…
