  • Hamburger Helper. Yum. Our favorite is the cheesy hashbrowns. Of course it is not all that low in calories and not the healthiest for you, but sometimes I just need something easy to make and easy to measure and count calories. Lately though, we have been enjoying the tuna helper which is a little lower cal and still just…
  • Welcome. I've only been doing this for a couple weeks myself, but I have been loving it so far. My suggestion is to just be 100% honest with yourself and what you eat. I am a sucker for chocolate, but if it goes in my mouth I log it no matter what. I'm learning to work around the fun stuff. If it's been a few days since I…
  • I actually am giving up weight watchers after having so much success with this website. I think I can get the support I need from friends on the site, plus it is free. So far in these last couple weeks I have had more progress with mfp than I did in the last few months of weight watchers. Hopefully it'll keep up this way,…
  • I'll weigh myself every day, but I only log it on Friday mornings. Before this I was going to weight watchers on Thursday evenings so when I stopped doing that, Friday mornings just made sense.
  • Oh it totally makes sense to me. I've been doing mfp for a couple weeks and I love the idea of having friends to be accountable to and just to talk too when things aren't going perfect. All my friends at work are super skinny, so none of them understand just what I am going through, even if they are supportive. Please add…
  • I am shorter too and I don't really care for the elliptical all that much, but it is the only machine that I can use that will get my heart rate in the 140-155 range that I need. I can't run because i have been having back problems, and when i do the bike, i put the resistance up so much that I can barely pedal but my…
  • I did ww too but finally stopped once my friend told me about this site. I lost a ton of weight while I was nursing my daughter and thought it was due to ww, but once i stopped nursing I gained all the weight back. Since then, I have been a ww yo yo. Some weeks I'd loose a pound or two then the next couple weeks I'd either…
  • Whoo hoo!!
  • You say that you are eating under your calories. Well how much under are you eating. I'm still having trouble wrapping my mind around this one but you have to eat to lose weight. If you eat too much under your calories and then work out on top of it, you are putting your body in starvation mode and it takes everything you…
  • Ooh we have a trampoline in our back yard. I've always wondered how much calories I could burn by jumping on it.
  • sounds yummy. I'll have t try it.
  • Sounds yummy. I just might have to try that too.
  • Congrats! I can't wait to get there.
  • Welcome. I've been using mfp for a week and a half so far and have been loving it. This program has made counting my calories fun. I lost almost 2 pounds the first week. I can't wait to weigh in again friday morning. ~Heather
  • My mom did a nutrition comparison and found that slimfast had way more nutritional stuff in it than the other brands of instant breakfasts. I don't remember what all the results were, just that slimfast was better. I try not to always do slimfast, but when I am running late for work it's better than nothing.
  • I agree. Your English is awesome. In high school I had an exchange student from Germany and we still keep in touch every now and then. Her English is great too, which is good because I've forgotten most of my German. I've started Rosetta Stone recently in hopes to better my German. I'd love to chat with you some time too.…
  • Another newbie here too. I just joined a few days ago (started tracking my food on Friday). So far I've done great in tracking everything I eat, hopefully I can keep this up. I have been doing pretty good keeping up with my cardio too, went to the gym the last 3 days. I just need to figure out a good strength training…
