I'd like to improve my flexibility and core strength a little. I run 5 days per week so I find that yoga helps a couple of times per week. I should make a bit more time for more yoga :-)

I cooked the family bacon rolls for breakfast while I enjoyed my protein shake and fresh orange juice. I thought I might miss the bacon roll but it never crossed my mind.

Lovely 10k run around my small town in Scotland. A bit windy but lovely to be out running.

If you are going to run slowly for 1 mile, then the shoes may be fine for now, but if you have a shop near you that can advise you then it might be worth a visit. Correct shoes will make a big difference, but don't let that halt your momentum.

This approach may result in temporary weight loss, but this change is rarely long-lasting. I'd try setting up your goals on MFP and eat the right amount of food to reach these goals, while logging carefully. Do this for 6 weeks and review where you are, you may like the results.

Why not change your goal to 0.5lbs a week and lost the last 14lbs over the next 28 weeks? It will help with the burn out and you will reach goal. This is better than the wheels falling off and you regaining the weight you have lost (which has happened to me in the past, that is why I mention it).

You can run slowly at a higher weight, but take it easy, your body needs time to adapt to the new stresses you are putting on it. When I was just over 280lbs I would run (very slowly) for 1 mile and stop. There was a time when I started running that I just ran 100m, then walked 100m, and repeated this until I reached a…

^^^ many posts refer to cheat weekends as well, and often state that the person tries “to be good” Monday to Friday. Two steps forward and three steps backwards.

Very true and not something many think about when discussing this topic. It is true that you focus on what you measure, whether it is blood pressure, calories, HRV, power/pace, nutrients or bank balance. Just make sure to measure and log everyday, that is the key to long term success (so if you over-eat you have the data…

I understand what you are saying, but you realise that the goal is to lose fat over an extended and healthy period of time, not to artificially reduce the scale number. Why not use a weight trend app and your logging numbers over a number of months to dig in to how your body works. I’m not meaning to sound harsh, but I…

I just finished a Five Guys cheeseburger and little fries. I burned 900 calories this morning running a 10k and will burn the same tomorrow during my Sunday run. I’ll be slightly under my calorie goal today, so banking a couple of hundred calories for another day (although I might have extra Green & Black Dark Chocolate…

Hi. How much more fat do you want to lose and how active are you and how tall are you? I've lost about 60lbs and changed my weight loss goal from 2lbs a week to 1lbs a week. At 2lbs a week 1600 Cals was not enough for me. I've got about 20lbs more to go before I check in with my progress and maybe reevaluate again. I eat…

Everything that @ceiswyn has said is correct. You must have expected someone on MFP to make such a comment given that you have lost 44.1lbs in 7 weeks. Why not mention in your original post your starting weight, that you are under medical supervision and that you are eating a good amount of calories, then you would not…
