you guys are really breaking this down to where I can understand. Im excited ...and you are correct@jo. I havent started yet. Ive just been practicing eating enough to maintain and support my workouts (which isnt heavy lifting....just the basic beach body programs) It makes a lot of sense. Track my food and lift and see…
-
and why do you say it will be difficult? :( what do you mean....
-
so youre saying to accomplish my goal...just start. start where i am..eating how i am while logging to see what i can add or take away...dont focus on gaining or losing just lift and see how my body reacts...for about 6 months? then start do the excessive stuff (counting, surplus in calories, etc)...?
-
what do you mean "if youre in a surplus and gain the matching amount..." and so forth? If I add or cut 200 calories I should gain or lose 200lbs? lol i know thats not what youre saying entirely but...something like that?
-
wonderful! but oh my thats a lot. Im scared. lol.And thats extremely tough for a plant based girly. *strained face*....where these calories come from matters too, right? (i.e whether its fat or from carb or protein or blah blah)
-
So you all are saying that i wouldnt really know what i needed and what i didnt...and how to adjust and eat for my goal unless i counted (or at least counting would be the best). does that also mean i should consider percents and grams of macros and so forth? weighing food too? *sigh*. And then Im not sure where I am now…
-
thanks guys. VERY true and very helpful. Since we are on the nutrition...my aim is not to lose weight, its to gain muscle. My original post talks about me wanting to lift heavy so that i can firm, lift, and get cut. I know naturally I will lose more wight but thats not the point anymore. I want to the above plus preserve…
-
well like i was saying before I dont really count calories or grams and percents and things. I eat a mostly plant-based diet and incorporating raw foods soon so I expect my body to just do what it would naturally do seeing as Im feeding it what it needs and not what I want. I practice portion control by eating frequently…

lol...sorry i am just starting to do posts so....yea. duh me. smh
-
ok:)

-
whats OP?
-
is this question for me? if so what do you mean...
-
thanks guys. im starting my heavy lifting in a few weeks:)
-
ok:)
-
you rock!
-
alright alright. can we get over the photoshop pic already. back to me! hellooo. lol
-
thanks:). thats also another things. Do I need to be specific with my eating? i eat a plant based diet. I figured I would just eat more to compensate for the heavy lifting. Do I need to count calories and grams? thats such bondage to me. I want to be free to eat. Not eat a lot....just free to eat. If Im giving my body what…

none of the pics show up:(
-
still want to see you alls before and after heavy lifting pics....especially those who have big curves
-
*perception
-
my waist is a 25 and hips a 41. i dont want to lose the depth in my ratio. does that mean others are dis-proportioned? i dont know...dont really care. Im talking about me lol! Im concerned about losing my curves thats all Im saying. and though the ladies suggested look good...none have big hips. Thats disappointing. its…
-
that makes me feel 10 times better! thanks so much
-
im doing it. i just finished my first week yesterday. i dont do the diet plan. i eat plant based so i dont count calories or worry about portions. i just eat often and listen to my body. seeing results already is blowing my mind. i attribute it to food though. the program will work regardless if you eat right
-
buying strong curves after work:)!
-
you guys are awesome. And thanks so much for the reality check on the photos. I will definately start lifting heavy now. I bought the book The New Rules of Lifting..blah blah blah. That title is way too long. Anyways. Ill post some before pics soon. Thanks guys. Keep the comments coming
