  • Thanks everybody for your input! Sounds like a winner!!! :) They're a little pricey, but if you get 4 servings out of one, that's pretty darn good! I love all your recipe suggestions, I may try mixing it in with tuna for lunch tomorrow, YUM-O! :)
  • That sounds delish, will have to try!
  • Thanks everyone for your posts, I wish I would've taken some pictures for the sake of "before" but I didn't. I'll just have to use the everyday pictures that I have from before I started this new lease on life. My "old" clothes are pretty loose. I'm actually down 2 pant sizes (wahoo) and the old clothes feel huge - mostly…
  • Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and advice. I was diagnosed with type 2 in 2003, but have been on a rollercoaster of a ride since then - taking charge and then not caring/worrying, etc. About 6 weeks ago, after a doctor visit and my A1c was 8.5, I decided that I needed to make serious lifestyle changes. I started…
  • Thanks for the info, I've been looking for one as well!
  • Hi Jenny, Thanks for these tips, these are great and I've been trying to do something similar now for the past month - when I really started to take control of my diabetes and my life! Still have a ways to go, but working on it. I go to the Dr. in August, 120 days after my last appt and my real "coming to Jesus"…

  • Just went there this past January and had an amazing time! We stayed at the Excalibur - what a deal and nice too. So suggestion, we booked the 'regular' room and tried the $20 trick when we checked in and BAM, it worked! So you wrap a $20 around your credit card when checking in and say "do you have any complimentary…
  • This is an awesome post!! Age: 31 Height: 5'1" CW: 162 GW: Not sure... 140ish to start, we'll see from there! :) I have broader shoulders, but avg hips/thighs/butt... I'm just my own special shape! :) I would love a twin! I'm also diabetic, but I'm not limiting it to that. Bring it on :)
  • Hey there! Right now I use the egg beaters, about 1/3 cup, add in a sprinkle of cheese and sometimes tomato and nuke it for about a minute. The eggs are all fluffy and taste delicious! I normally toast an Arnold Sandwich Thin and eat it on there like a sandwich. You might also want to check out hungry-girl.com - she has…
  • Thanks for everyone's quick responses! I'll definitely look into the IUD and NuvaRing more soon! I'll give this pill another month or so and see how it goes. I just hope I'm not bald by then! :(
  • Endomondo is another great app to track your distance, speed, actual route with GPS and calories. I love it! :) And then you can view everything online. You can also have "friends" sort of like on MFP so send motivational notes, messages, etc. Would be awesome if it worked in conjunction with MFP!
  • I get those too and yes they're TERRIBLE! Why don't we crave fruits and veggies, haha! I try and grab a bottle of water and go for a walk when the craving hits. Otherwise another good option is to have some of those 100 calorie packs or FiberPlus or FiberOne bars on hand... that does wonder for me, chocolate, peanut butter…
