I'm between 1300-1500 (and eat only at home and measure everything, in answer to some of the previous posts). Hunger depends a lot on what I eat. When I do the bulk as fruits, veggies, and my beloved smoothies...it's not a problem at all. ETA: I'm 5'3" and 241. I just reset my counter, but I started this year at 263.

Oh that's good to hear! I got that one and the Inside Out Method set. They are marked down to $15 for each 4 pack, which sounded like a great deal.

I 'm Lynn and I would love to join in too. I've recently started walking and playing Zombies, Run! This week my new treadmill will arrive so I'm looking forward to keeping it up during the winter as well. Right now I'm walking and adding in a short jog, but I'm hoping to improve that.

I am finally watching episodes of Biggest Loser for the first time and was interested by the armbands. The current deal was enough to get me to splurge on one. It ships tomorrow :D I got laid off and my last day of work is the 28th, so my final purchases were investments in my health. I cleared out and painted the spare…

I'm in! I actually reset my counter on Sunday. It made sense for me to start a little early as my circumstances have changed. I finish building my little home gym tomorrow, I'm home everyday until I find another job as I just got laid off, and I'll be eating a bit differently to keep the grocery budget to a minimum.

I made my own exercise for it. But I based the calories burned off of general aerobics, which I figured was closest.

I'm a very structured person and need to weigh every morning to keep myself on a regular routine and accountable. I log every loss, but I give a gain a day or two before I log it as a gain...that keeps the fluctuations from messing with my total :)

I'm working on The Betrayal by Beverly Lewis. I really love Amish fiction :)

Awesome Leila!! Sounds very flavorful. Those lock&lock boxes are another good idea for folks looking for local bento solutions.

Maybe someone will know a good website, the one I used went out of business years ago. I actually found this one at a dollar store, and I've had good luck on ebay.

I stay within the mayo clinics recommendations. After some tweaking and comparing to how I actually eat, I still ended up with 55% carbs, 15% protein, and 30% fat for my personal mix (as a vegetarian if that matters) http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/healthy-diet/NU00200

Just a little bump in case there are other self-sufficient sorts out there that have time to check in between canning sessions :D Would love some more friends.

I got a scale yesterday morning and I weighed the same as I had last time I'd gotten a chance to weigh at the gym. So at least I'm maintained the last couple months. This morning I was 2.5 down :) I had the day off for my grandfathers funeral. Got out and worked in the garden and got the house cleaned up the rest of the…

Thanks Jess! Sounds like a great setup. I'm fighting to get chickens allowed here, but now I just have my angora rabbits. I'd eventually like to save up so I can buy more land, but I really can't fit in the commute while working and going to school just yet anyway.

Just took pics of everything I'm growing for a huge garden walkthrough update if anyones interested :) http://viggiesveggies.com/?p=1333

I planted all of my veggie gardens up in Wisconsin today (I'm in a little warmer spot and am in zone 5b) I've got some expansions in the works so I still have some herbs and edible flowers left to do, as well as the potatoes once I finish digging that bed.

I'm in West Allis, but the family actually has a cabin outside Wisconsin Rapids so I'm up there pretty often too :D

I am a new urban homesteader and loving it. I'm on a tiny 1/10th acre city lot and grew nearly all my own produce my first year trying it. This year I'm expanding to the front yard and digging up what grass remains in the back yard. I still have some time before all my perennials and fruits are established and I learn…

I've been using it for a week now and love it. I agree it's very intense so don't feel bad if you can't make it through the whole beginners routine. Under beginning toning I'm working on the first one..conditioning corps. I made it half way through the first day. Each day I've been able to add another exercise though. It…
