If it was very cold and we needed to conserve body heat to survive, yes.

This is the most reasonable approach. It's not a race, enjoy the ride and be glad you only have a few pounds to lose.

In addition to being high in omega 3s, organic grass fed bison is especially high in price. I will only buy the cheapest meat available at the grocery store.

Just... eat food. And I don't believe that it's possible for any human being to be full on 1200 calories. I don't care how sincere or insistent a person is, I will never believe that it's possible and will always assume that the person who believes that they are full on 1200 calories or less is self-deceived or lying. It…

Running becomes an incredible pleasure after you finish the c25k and continue extending your runs. That's my experience anyway.

Go to the grocery store and buy a pizza shell, pizza sauce, green pepper, onion, black olives, turkey pepperoni, feta, whatever toppings you want. Measure and/or weight to track your calories and log the result. It's a no-brainer!

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the incidence of PCOS and Hashimoto's does not support the number of people on MFP who claim to have these disorders. Again, I could be wrong but it seems like every time I turn around someone else is posting about how they can't lose weight because they have PCOS. If a physician…

If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. Weigh your food carefully, log every gram. Log every condiment, every topping, every single thing that goes into your mouth. Forget about eating calories back, just figure out your TDEE and eat the same amount every day whether you exercise or not. I used…

The answer is to stop using machines that leave you weak and start using compound free weight exercises. Stronglifts 5x5 is the answer.
-
Long story short, eat TDEE and if you have under 50 pounds to lose, set goals to 0.5 or 1 lb/wk.

That's so crazy you say that! That's just what Randy's grandma smells like. She always gives me licorice.

I multiplied 8 x my weight to get the calories I should be eating every day. I eat that amount if I exercise or not and I try to eat protein in the amount of 1g/lb of lean body mass. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=156380403 http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

Mehti from Stronglifts 5x5 suggests that squats, when performed with proper form, can actually help to strengthen the knees and improve problems there. But, yes, this is a question a specialist.

Waitstaff are paid less than minimum wage because tips make up the difference and then some. Now that you know this, failure to tip wait staff and others who work in the service industry will henceforth make you a bad person
