Love this! So true! Thank you

You should read this thread. It really explains why plateaux happen and how to fix it. Basically the closer you get to your goal, the more you should eat closer to your TDEE (maintenance) calories. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/501511-great-read-on-plateau-ing

I've been using it for two weeks and use it for eggs, veggies and meat, or instead of butter on english muffins. It really doesn't have much of a smell or taste, just a good texture.

I eat 1800 cals per day and have one spike day/off day where I eat over maintenance (which is 2350 for me). I am 5'7" and currently weigh 171. I workout intensely 4 times a week and am losing 1 to 1.5 lbs a week.

Do you think maybe you are over-training? Are all your workouts high intensity? This can stall out your weight loss due to chronic inflamation and stress, make you retain more fluids and actually gain weight. Instead of lowering the intensity, try cutting back on how many training sessions and taking a rest day between…

Eat more! The closer you get to goal, you need to eat at a smaller deficit. Try eating 10-15% below your TDEE or maintenance calories.

I think its really up to you and how you feel. If you're mildly sore, that's fairly normal. But if you are feeling wore out then focus on your running and cut your strength training back to two days, with two days rest (from weights not running) between those. For me personally, I was working out at high intensity 6 times…

This season is a little bit like watching Survivor with all the back-stabbing, low blows, and manipulation. Can't the rest of the contestants see how Conda is running the show to ultimately everyones detriment? Every week I keep thinking, when are they all gonna wake up and get rid of her? For the past few weeks she's been…

This was my story for most of last year, gaining and losing the same 5-8 lbs. I was doing P90X and Insanity workouts with minimal results. Then at the beginning of this year, I started out doing an Insanity/P90X hybrid, basically working out 6 days a week, intensely. Still had the same problem then I got some good advice…

I think this is more a question of how heavy you are to begin with. If you are a woman and have a high BMI or over 200 lbs to begin with, then following the MFP guidlines to lose 2lbs a week is fine, with or without eating back calories - your choice. BUT ..... once your weight gets closer to your goal, or within 20 lbs of…

Hi there, this might help. Copied from Psulemon's advice and this guy knows his stuff: Total Daily Energy Expended (TDEE). Your weight loss is actually based on the amount of energy you expend throughout the entire day (TDEE) since you burn calories above and beyond your BMR. BMR is the amount of calories you burn in a…

I'm 47 and he's 32 so thats 15 years difference. We've been together almost 5 years. A previous relationship was 6 years younger than me. I'm just young at heart I guess.

Blue Diamond Dark Chocolate roast Almonds, Hersheys cocoa powder mixed with almond or peanut butter, chocolate protein shake, or Cliff Builders Bar (Chocolate mint ). I usually have an Off MFP/Spike Day where I indulge in whatever chocolate I want with in reason of course! Also Weight Watchers does a killer Dark Chocolate…

I agree, these programs may be too much, or workout overload for some people. I have done both P90X (9 weeks) and Insanity (7 weeks), then Insanity/P90X Hybrid (4 weeks) . My weight would go up and down the same 5 lbs. I finally just switched to Insanity 3X a week with rest days between and 1 weekend full body routine. I…

I use both. A whole egg and three liquid egg whites, a little powdered onion, and if making an omlette, baby spinach and mozzerella cheese. Can't taste the difference.
-
Both, like them equally.

Thank you. I shall adjust my MFP to moderately active, and should I resume my normal work, to highly active. Also the .5 lbs a week too instead of the 2 lbs I have now. I'm also planning to try spiking one day a week.

After reading this article, I realized that my biggest problem is my all or nothing approach to fitness and weight loss. Over the last year (2011) I have lost and gained the same 6 or so lbs, hovering between 174 and 180 - all year. I'm female, 5' 7", 47, muscular, physical job (constuction). I restricted on and off my…

I drink it (ACV) and sometimes jalapeno pickle juice when I feel a cold coming on and everytime it stops the cold from developing. Even if a cold is starting to settle in like sore throat, tiredness, headache, I start drinking straight ACV and it shortens it to one or two days instead of the usual 10.

I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 176. I'm in my 40's, but when I was in my 20's before kids I was around 140 and a size 6-8. In my 30's and early 40's I was 150 and a size 8-10. I would like to get down to 145 as I believe this is a sustainable weight for my body type and frame. I'm muscular so tend to weigh more than I look.

Here's my go to evening sweet fix snack: Mix 1 T natural Almond or Peanut Butter, 1 T dark cocoa Powder, a little skim milk, and 1 t honey (optional). Mix and blend in bowl till consistancy of fudge sauce, I usually heat it for 20 secs in microwave. I add either half sliced banana, or fresh raspberries or strawberries, top…

I prefer sour to sweet dressings. My standby basic dressing is: EV Olive Oil, lemon juice, crushed fresh garlic clove, salt & pepper. If you like it creamier add plain greek yogurt or a little mayo. And if you want zero cals, just lemon juice, salt & pepper.
