  • Great job and great inspiration for me to keep going!!
  • I usually try to leave a little wiggle room at the end of the day too so that I can have a little something sweet around 8pm. Today, however, I indulged in some very delcious fried crappie and some potato slices also deep fried (we call them river fries) and now I am paying the price.
  • I think your abs look great and you look MUCH healthier than the other person. She seems to be to be WAY to skinny but that's just my opinion. P.S. I would love to have a stomach like yours but haven't seen anything like that since maybe Kindergarten!! ;)
  • Good luck with your new lifestyle!! MFP has been a great source of information and the people on here have been fantastic support!

  • I would maybe try weighing tomorrow morning before your workout. I have heard others say that your body holds onto water during/after a workout so that your muscles repair?? Not sure if I said that correctly, but maybe someone with more experience with this will post. You have a great attitude which is "You CAN do this!"…
  • Tomorrow is a new day! I know with family or friend gatherings that it is difficult to sometimes find healthier options but if you watch your portions and then get back on track for the rest of the week, I am sure you will be successful! Chin up!!
  • Funny you should post this today! I am absolutely starving today and I have had about 80 oz of water already and still feel famished. I have about 560 calories left for the rest of the day. I should go for a walk and see if that helps.
  • Still seeing lots of things about starvation mode and how it can use muscle mass and not burn off fat. On average I could be 100-300 calories under my daily allowance. Is this a critical issue that I should be concerned about?
  • I haven't added any friends yet as I haven't quite figured it out, but as soon as I do, I will add you! I am a working mom of a 15 year old daughter (she will be tomorrow), a 13 year old son (He turned 13 today!) and an 11 year old son (He will be 12 in August). I am very lucky in the fact that my husband works only 40…
  • I don't own a scale and haven't for about 15 years for the same reason. I chose to find an inexpensive weight loss support group in my area where I weigh only once a week and to hold myself accountable. I think if I had a scale back in my house, I would become obsessed with weighing myself and then become unhappy every…
  • When you put in your profile information this site should have given you a daily calorie goal. Since starting this a few weeks ago I have made small changes in my eating habits and exercising. I basically try to eat healthy but I don't deny myself something if I want it. For example, I went to Olive Garden last night for…
  • Everyone has these kinds of moments. Tomorrow is a new day!! Start fresh and don't give up!! You made a choice to begin a new lifestyle which is a huge step in the right direction. Look at what you have done so far!! You should be extremely proud!
  • I enjoy Blue Bunny Big Fudge Bars. They are about 90 calories and not too bad with the sugar content either. I also like Skinny Cow mint ice cream sandwiches. I think they might be around 150 calories but are delicious. I have also had angel food cake with strawberries and lite Kool Whip.
  • Thank you for all the great information. I may have to try it just to change up a little of what I am doing now.
  • Great ideas...bump
  • Thanks everyone for your input!
  • Thanks for all the suggestions!
  • I have eaten the Kashi granola bars which are good but wanted something to make me feel fuller than those for breakfast. Will have to look into the ones you make on your own.
  • I have only been here for about 2 weeks and just looked at my graph. It is all over the place! Need to take a closer look and adjust my habits now! Thanks!
  • You look great in the profile picture! Just know there are others out there just like you sharing in the same insecurities but we must let it go in order to have a more fulfilled life!! Keep it up!!!
  • I can relate to everything that your saying. My issues stem all the way back to grade school.. I have always thought myself as fat or not good enough. Looking back, I realize that I was just trying so hard to fit in and be the super skinny popular girls. Well, that never happened because it just isn't me. At 43 I am…
  • Thanks to all for your insight!
  • Just from what I saw it didn't seem like you were eating near enough. It looks like fruits and veggies were missing on most days too. Be careful of some of the lunch meats due to the high sodium content.
  • I can certainly relate! I have three kids almost 15, almost 13 and almost 12. I have put off exercise for years now and I have gained back most of the weight that I fought so hard to lose after my youngest was born. I am so grateful that this summer my kids have decided to not play a sport so hopefully I won't make excuses…
  • Don't give up! You can do this for you!! You made the decision to get started which is a huge step forward. I am confident that if you stick with it, you will start seeing results. I agree that sometimes the healthier food options are more expensive. I stay away from those prepackaged 100 calories things and choose…

  • Welcome! I feel like we are in a club of the size 14's wanting to get to a size 10 because right now that is my goal as well. I haven't seen a size 10 for about 10 years. What's nice about this site is the great support. I also like the food diary. It is amazing after tracking for one day how many calories I was ingesting…

  • Review your food that you have eaten over the last week. Were you over most days? If not, how about exercise? Don't get down on yourself. This too shall pass and I bet next week you will see a loss! Keep up the good work!
  • Have you kept a food diary? Have you measured portions? This has been a rude awakening for me about how good I thought I was being and when I started to log in the meals, I was eating WAY more calories than I ever thought. Good luck!
