I was diagnosed with PCOS a couple years ago, but I believe I have struggled with it since my teens. Went through a D&C in March and have been on straight birth control pills since, as well as metformin to help with PCOS side effects and diabetes. My husband and I have been married 2 years and we would eventually love to…

Thanks so much for your opinions guys :) I'd like to get a Garmin or Fitbit eventually but I don't really have the extra income for one right now. I just got the stationary bike. Maybe I can get one for Christmas lol :)

Yes - better safe than sorry, and if you are losing the weight it is a tried and true method and that is what I need :) Thanks so much!

Probably would be a good idea for me to record it as light effort, just to be on the safe side :) Thanks Machka!

I agree, I feel like 1300 would be too low for your current weight, and especially when you add the exercise. I am at 358 and MFP calculated 1950 calories per day for a 2lb/week loss. Do you plan to eat back some of your exercise calories that you burn in your cardio regimen? This may help with those hunger pains :) I'm…

Hello :) I was diagnosed with both PCOS and Diabetes in January (although I believe I've had both for several months/years before then). I am not on a special diet right now, but I have just started recording calories and have just begun exercise recommended by my cardiologist. I was prescribed metformin but stopped taking…

I have big bones and a larger frame, so I'm aiming for around 150 lbs and/or around a size 10. That number is in the middle/higher BMI range for someone my height and frame :) I haven't been 150 lbs since middle school!

Chocolate Pudding and/or Fun Size Candy Bars. Also, I like Martha White's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffin mix. One muffin is 160 calories, but they are yummy and one usually satisfies my chocolate craving :)

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I believe I will try to do the in-home walking for now during the day. I just tried the Walk Away The Pounds and I thought that it was great! I only did the first mile though for now, and will increase it a bit every week or two weeks. I think I will also go on more relaxed walks with my…

I really, really like that. If it's okay with you, I may put that as a reminder to myself on my profile. It was great to read your story and the other advice as well!. Especially about taking the emotion out of it. Thank you for posting :)

Hello! I am new to MFP, just starting today. I have over 200lbs to lose. I am 26, recently married, and my reasons for wanting to lose weight are similar to yours! I've been extremely overweight most of my life, but it used to not bother me as much as it does lately. In the last 6 months I've noticed how much it affects…
