I'm assumign you have an HRM with a chest strap. Check that the setting are accurate. What is your max heart trate and average hreat rate. That's what drives the calories burned calculation. Seems a little low. For comparison: I'm male, 42 ans 182 pounds and I burned 465 calories doing Cardio Pwer and resistance last week.…

You had 430g of Heinz Chicken casserole soup that supposedly had 1g of sodium. No way. There is no way that is correct? Deli meat is crazy high in sodium.

If you're lifting 4X a week I'd suggest at least 1gram of protein per pound of body weight.

YOu're shown how to modify everything in P90X. That being said I'd start with Power 90 if I were you. It is designed for someoen that doesn't workout much or at all. P90X assumes you're at least somewhat active. If you do go the P90X route, I'd stay away from Plyo until you lose some weight. that would be just way too much…

For P90X, you need some resistance bands at a minimum as there are three days of resistance work. You can use the bands to simulate pullups rather than getting a pullup bar.

I lost 32 pounds in two rounds doing the Classic Program. I highly suggest you do that rather than the lean. the program was designed that way. the lean was a complete afterthought. You need the weight lifting to help maintain lean muscle mass while on a calorie restricted diet. the more lean mass you have the more fat…

Buyer beware on Ebay and craigslist. P90X is an incredible workout, worth every cent. My real discs play in my laptops and dvd players without issues.

If you want results from P90X, you'll need heavier weights. If that's a budget breaker look into a set of bands. You can use the bands as a sub for pullups. If you do decide to do P90X, do the Classic version, not the Lean. The program was designed with three days of weights, that's how you'll get the best results. Don't…

Do the Classic version, don't be afreaid of weights. The program was designed that way.

Food Scale and 12 inch cast iron pan.

From what I've researched and read, there is little difference between the fasting and non fasting total cholesterol readings. The reason for fasting is to get an accurate triglyceride count. http://www.clinicaladvisor.com/nonfasting-vs-fasting-cholesterol-goals/article/117995/

What does your HRM say is your Max and Ave HR? Do you have a HRM with a chest strap? If not get one. Otherwise double check your settings and your battery because unless you're just standing there, hard to believe you'd only burn 350 calories doin MIP. Tim

Soduim aside, the meat is better for you than the bread. The bread is just filler. Never get a footlong, if anything double the meat on a six inch.

I drink tons of Diet Pepsi, and decided today to stop. Enough is enough already!!! Tim

Much like getting protein from natural sources rather than protein shakes, it's better to get your vitamins and minerals from real foods as well. That being said if you can't stand something why eat it regardless of the benefits. A multivitamin is insurance because we all don't eat a perfect diet every single day. Without…

"How long have you been lifting weights? What exercises do you do and how much do you lift? IT doesn't happen overnight, especially in women. YOu have to put in the time and the work andyou'll see the result you want. Tim

Without knowing anything about the 30 Day Shred, there is no harder more challenging cardio program than Insanity, ok maybe Insanity: The Asulum, but you get the point. Tim

I've tried to point this out ot my mother-in-law as another reason to get off the statins. Considering she's asian and asian women seem to be more predisposed to Osteoporosis anyway.

I think everyone is different. I have a co-worker who just spent 9 months watching his saturated fat intake, 20g or less and he added some light running to his workout program which was primarily weight lifting. His overall Cholesterol, which is essentially meaningless anyway, went from the 220s to 180s. His HDL, the one…

I'm starting the Strong Lift 5X5 program in about ten days. I've spent the last year and a half doing P90X and have gotten pretty lean but need to add some strength and muscle mass. P90X just ins't desinged to add mass. Any advice? I've no problem with consistency in workouts. Missed less than five P90X workouts in 18…

Do you eat alot of fruit? One of the types of sugar in fruit is fructose. When ingested, fructose goes directly to your liver which can only hold a finite amount, approximately 100grams. Excess fructose is then converted to triglycerides. That's just the nature of fructose.

I feel like it's a huge victroy to come out of the weekend having eaten clean. It just kind of fuels the fire to keep going rather than being up a couple pounds from just a few days earlier is disheartening.

The true Insanity program is 6 days a week. Extra running would be just brutal on your legs and calves in my opinion, but if you;ve been doing a lot of running your legs could be in decent shape. My personal opinion is Insanity is really for those people that can go at the pace of the people in the video, It's hard for a…

If you put in personal data like age, sex, and weight, I'd go with the machine. If you didn't put in any personal data, then it isn't likely to be to accurate, but use the smaller of the two numbers would be my suggestion.

Perfectly said. I wish more women would understand this and not be afraid to lift a heavy weight.

Yeah, those Kenyans that win every major marathon are just loaded with muscle.
