  • Sounds like the 3 week stall! Most people who have bariatric surgery go through this! Your body is healing, you've been through trauma (surgery) and it takes time to settle in! Just follow your program and it should work out
  • Is it even possible to pick just one? If I could only pick one.. Jurassic Park, the first one! If I could make more picks then the list would probably go on forever!
  • Thanks everyone! I ended up taking a small portion of mashed potatoes and I made a curry sauce instead of BBQ sauce with my chicken!
  • Thank you for the replies everyone! I will probably go with a small portion of mashed potatoes because it does go a lot better with BBQ sauce!
  • We used homegrown (in our own veggie garden) brown skinned potatoes to make the mashed potatoes if it makes any difference! The skin was peeled off though, Swedes/Fins have something against eating the skin of potatoes! Personally I love smashed potatoes that have skin in it just as much as I love the fatty milk, butter…
  • To clarify a bit, the rice was boiled in water and then drained. The mashed potatoes were peeled and milk, butter and a little salt was added in! I plan to fry some chicken breast meat in 1 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil to eat with either rice or mashed potatoes topped with just a bit of BBQ sauce for flavor!
  • I miss: *Land o Lakes white american cheese - cheese in Sweden is bland and awful I just can't even find something remotely tasty like american cheese! *Mozzarella cheese - here you can only get shredded mozzarella or in packages with water, it's really weird! Miss the good old block so you can cut it the width you want…
  • I have a little to say about Sweden! It's so hard to find modern conveniences in Swedish stores! I miss Walmart and Target, you can just walk in and get pretty much everything you need under one roof and it's not so expensive usually and you have a WIDE selection! In Sweden all the stores are small unless you travel a bit…
  • My name is Nikki, I come from Long Island, NY! I lived in NC for a few years before making the move to Sweden to live with my swedish boyfriend who I met on the internet (many years ago). I've been living in Sweden close to Stockholm now for almost 2 years! Currently I'm somewhat of a stay-at-home girlfriend though nobody…
  • Hi everyone! @ambersdawn13 So others like us do exist? :) @stevenlcopela I guess I should have mentioned I have cut out junk food snacks as well right from the beginning!
  • I have not tried either of those! All the cheese here in Sweden is strange compared to the US! I miss my good ol' white american cheese, so delicious, probably very bad for me but tastes so good lol. Will have to control myself when I visit the US in Oct. The sausages "korv" in Sweden are very gross to me (both Swedish and…
  • I always eat a banana with a tiny bit of creamy peanut butter smeared over the top about an hour or 2 before bed and that helps me during the night!
