  • Awesome, just awesome.
  • I've only used Twinlab 100% Whey. The local Rite Aid frequently has a bogo sale on the ten serving pouches at 16.99. I really like the double chocolate, it tastes how I imagine chocolate coconut milk would. The vanilla rush tastes ok alone but is great for smoothies or an addition to baked goods. Hoping they have the…
  • Don't have recommendation on BT buds but i started using a paperclip on the collar of my shirt to keep a little slack in the cord above the neckline and run the remainder under my shirt to the phone in my pocket. Now that I use an armband I run it above the shirt through the clip twice leaving a u shaped loop under my…
  • WooHoo. Looking good. Rock on.

  • Staring at 250 I initially chose 50lbs as a loss goal just because of it being a nice round number but amended that to 199 after reading of 'Onederland' on these forums. After much reading and some progress I now know upon reaching 199 I will reset my goal to 150 to get into the generally accepted 'fit zone'. I will then…
  • I find it amazing how much younger people, women in particular, look after losing a substantial amount of weight. You look great. ENJOY
  • This sounds like some bizarro parody of Weird Al's 'Eat It' parody of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' song. I agree, if you only log the positive you are missing half the equation.
  • I've taken to doing twelve bodyweight squats each time I use the bathroom at home. Two weeks ago I could barely keep my balance with arms extended now I do deep squats with arms folded against my chest. Small steps in a greater journey toward fitness.
  • It kind of drives home the point of how even small efforts can amount to a large difference over time. A few calories or minutes of exercise from one day to the next will affect a large fluctuation in the estimated weight.
  • Congrats on reaching your goal and may maintenance be just as rewarding for you. I love these more extreme success posts. They are very reaffirming in that I think if this guy can get to a healthy weight from over 500lb what kind of wimp would I be to not make it coming from 250. ENJOY
  • My Ah-Ha moment came when visiting a doctor for the first time in over a decade to establish a primary care physician and get a referral to operate on a curled finger(dupuytrens disease). My plan was to take care of my finger and start an exercise routine to prepare myself for a return the daily work regiment. During the…
  • Welcome to the site. It has been a great resource for me. It's doubtful I would have made the progress I have without it. ENJOY

  • Just this morning I filled out tomorrows food diary with what used to be typical meals. Came up 4600 calories and nearly as much sodium. :o I wonder why I was lethargic and had sky high blood pressure. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
  • I would take the calorie hit with the OJ for the low sodium and high potassium. I am hypertensive so sodium potassium ratio is more important to me than most others.
  • Made this recipe and found it tasty but a little too high in the calorie department for my current limits. Will make again but omit the vanilla since the Twinlab Vanilla Rush protein powder I use is quite heavy on vanilla flavor, and refrigerate half to enjoy the next morning. Thanks for the recipe. ENJOY!
  • Great work. Congrats.

  • This point was brought home to me this morning when what I would have logged as a 60 calorie cup of grapes weighed out to be a 116 calorie 173 gram serving of grapes. Weigh for accuracy folks. B)
  • I started at 250, set my initial goal at 199 with full knowledge that my next goal will be 150. I already have people warning against losing "too much weight" when they learn of the 50lb loss goal. ;) My long term plan is to reach 150 which puts me squarely into the fit zone by most charts. At that point I plan to assess…
  • I would think activities like badminton would be a shining example of when an HRM would give more accurate results than GPS based estimates of calories burned. In a walk, run or cycle type activity Endomondo can estimate energy expenditure based on time expired and distance traveled as recorded by the GPS chip. Absent the…
  • 25 to go. Busted into twotervile sometime in the mid nineties so it will be a good feeling.
  • Sounds good. I'll be trying this. Thanks
  • I started this quest for fitness with a 1500 calorie low sodium diet coupled with six day a week walks. Walked 3.7 miles the first two days and developed plantar fasciitis(stone bruise). I painfully limped for three days. Stretched and rolled a ball under my feet for two more then went back to it the next Monday. I am…

  • My motivation to start remains my motivation to succeed. That is to not have to take two blood pressure pills each day for the remainder of my life. I go flush with disgust every time the phone alarm goes off reminding me to "take a pill". I have high hopes a healthy diet and enough weight loss to get squarely into the…
  • Excellent work. Added to the FIT favorites folder. Thanks
  • I'm on this challenge like me on a box of Queen Anne Cordial Cherries six weeks ago.
