Exactly! It's hard enough to stay positive :) They are probably just looking for an outlet - displaced anger about their weight...some psychological defense mechanism.

My kids are almost the same age and it's hard for me to remember a time I was happy with my body. I am doing this for myself - so I can look at my daughter and tell her to make good choices about her body (not do as i say not as i do!). We can all support each other!

You really should keep taking the pics in the same outfit - that's what I'm doing...it gives me even more perspective - then I'll get to the point where I've lost the weight and can give the outfit away! Keep up the GREAT WORK! You go girl!

I haven't gotten an HRM yet - but am thinking about it. For 30DS I used this site http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc. It breaks down the calories and I can add different minutes and produce the calories burned based on my weight - which for me is about 250.

I'm new as well! Been doing this for only a week and have lost almost 7 lbs! So excited. Zumba might not be as great as running but I think it's fun!
