Don't beat yourself up!! 50 lbs is HUGE!!! Just think it's your body saying it needs a break. As long as you aren't gaining back, I'll bet the measuring tape is still adjusting down. Your shrinkage just needs to catch up to the scales. Keep on keeping on, and it will start moving again very soon!!! I've been stuck on the…

Nice work!! I agree, NSV's come in many different forms, and the scale is only a part of the story! Getting healthy really is the reason for the weight loss in the first place!! You should be really proud of yourself!!

VERY NICE!!!! Keep up the good work. You're looking great!!

I'd go for the 34's. When you wash them, line dry them, if they work, go buy another pair, if the seem to tighten, buy a bigger size. You will still be able to wear the 34's when you're feeling good, but will have the 36 if you need them. Ha!

Hey! This guy is frugal, means he's watching his pennys and trying to live within his means. Also depends on where he's taking me. McDonald's a little scary, a 5 star restaurant with excellent food? Nice going!! It's just nice that he wanted to take me somewhere nice.

Hang in there!! Losing weight is no fast act, when you do it so it stays away. Lower your goals to 10 - 20 lbs. and then go for another. Think of it as a lifestyle change, and you are just changing the food you eat, the amounts and types for life. Eat fiber and protein to help fill you up, lots of water, and 4-6 small…

There are a number of HRM's (heart rate monitors) out there. I have a Polaris, and I love it. Cost varies $100 - $180. It monitors everything I do (If I want).

Have tried it both ways, and YES - planning ahead makes life a whole lot easier. Also, by logging in the day before, I don't have to think about what I can or can't have when the day hits. I don't know about anyone else, but when I get home from work and think "hmm, what's for dinner?" I usually grab the quickest, and…

Sounds like a restaurant near me. Last time we went, I had a baked cheese, shrimp, red pepper dish on top of penne pasta. I hate the top, and only a couple bites of the pasta cut up really small so there was a tiny taste in most bites. I was completely full and didn't need any more pasta. The salads all look good, and the…

Personally, I don't care for hair dyed, but especially a beard. Natural is the way to go!! It's part of the 'real' you - shows character.

Thanks Scot, I needed reading something like that today. BS has gotten away from me a few times this past week and it's just nice to have confirmation that this will happen, and not to panic, just keep moving forth.

Before I started MFP, I pee'd ALL the time - little did I know, it was diabetes. Another sign is if it's clear, like water vs if there is some coloration to it, it' might be somewhat normal. Now that I'm losing weight, and contolling my diabetes, I only pee a couple times a day, but drink tons more water. I'd probably…

Sounds like water retention to me. I measure water retention by how thick or thin my wrists are. I can always tell when it's water vs. weight gain daily by my fingers around my wrist. Drink lots of water, eat low sodium for the next couple of days, and you will be right back in the game!!

Congrats!!! That's a little bigger than a small NSV, that's HUGE!!! Keep up the great work!!
