The only thing I've noticed, is when I was heavier and out of shape (really out of shape), MFP was low on what I burned. Then, as I progressed to being healthier, MFP was pretty close (to my HRM). Today, after not exercising for a month, but still losing weight, MFP was way over what I actually burned. I think the…

First, congrats on the 22 lbs. That's a great accomplishment!! I agree, if you are working out so fiercely, eat more. You might try adding more fiber, and remember to watch the sodium. It's amazing if you leave out the salt for a week or so, and then eat something really salty, you can show a gain of up to 5 lbs. Hang in…

You're doing great!!! and look wonderful! I use a foot stool to carry on my back to see just how much 18 pounds to carry around was. Whew!! Amazing we carried around that much weight, and just lived with it. Good for you!!! Keep up the great work!! :drinker:

Good for you!! I keep hoping some day, it will be something I will want to do instead of force myself to do. As usual, I'm going to try to follow your lead. Thanks!!! And congratulations!!

My cals have been between 1100 (very seldom) and 1500 - no exercise, and have been consistanly losing about 1.5 pounds per week. As for exercise cals, I eat back only if I'm still hungry, but still don't go below 1100 (I try to stay at least 1200). I find if I exercise big time one day (burning 400-600 cals), and I try to…

Four months ago, I had a blood sugar reading of 343, and a week later 240. My A1C was 11.7. Yikes!!! I really hadn't thought of all the symptons I had were diabetes. Anyway, I was put on Metformin, and 2 weeks later, my bs was down so much, my Dr. took me off the Metformin. While on MFP, I have friended some fantastic…

Do you feel like opening your food diary? Can't say much 'til we can see it.

Pork Chops and Lite Chicken Gumbo soup with 1/2 baked potato (you don't need the butter because you drizzle the left over soup -after baking the Pork Chops in it- over the potato) and lots of green veggies: Green beans, asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, etc. Oh, and you brown the pork chops, put them in a casserole…

I think we've all felt this at one time or another. Try to think of it more of a lifestyle than a diet. Make sure you eat a few of the things you miss, all in proportion, and hopefully you won't feel you are depriving yourself. As for your other half saying you looked big, blame it on the clothes you happened to be…

I agree, small snacks just to keep you from getting hungry are great!! Especially if you are going to have a big dinner.

Sounds like you are doing great!! 1200 as a low, and 1700 high. My thought is if I'm hungry when I work out, I eat, but I never go below 1200 as a low. Good job!! You should do great!!

I'm a Mom figure! Same height/weight. Do you get a break in the a.m.? If so, or if you can sneak in something in the a.m. Try to grab a string cheese, and 100 calorie pack of some sort - Fiber One 90 granola bars would be great! Are you aloud to carry a water bottle? I know some school won't let you. But try to get in some…

Totally agree!! Also, some bodies are larger on top, and smaller on the bottom. I'm wearing a 10 - 12 in pants, but still L-XL in tops. Sometimes I wish it were the other way around, but that's just what my body does. Don't worry about the number of size, pay attention to how good you are 'feeling' in what you wear. If…

I have been fixing Peanut Butter and sugar free jam on Thomas WW bagel thin in the morning before I leave for work. Sometimes I add string cheese if I'm still hungry. You can also add veggies to much while you walk. Nice going on the walk at lunch. Every little bit counts.

My standard day is: a String cheese and 6 almonds for 10:00 snack, and for lunch, Peanut Butter and Sugar Free Jam on Thomas Whole Wheat Bagle thin. And lots of water!! Carrots, Celery, Radishes, pickles, Red Pepper.

It always helps to have that one 'reason' for getting healthy. Too bad it has to be something like that. Best of luck to you!!! You can do it!!!!

Very nice going!!! Wonderful NSV for you AND your wife!!!

I agree with this. A picture is much more truthful than the mirror. And, among scales, pictures, measurements, something is always changing, so I do all of them. Good Luck!! Go for the pictures!!! It motivates me to see what others are doing!!

Fantastic!!! Lookin' good!!

Would definately motivate me!!
