I have been running for three years and have always run alone - except for during the four races I entered in 2012 - but just recently started going to a running club, I am not sure how I feel about it yet....it seems to make the runs go faster/easier, the last few weeks when someone told me we'd done 5 miles I was…

In a circuit class we were doing a group competition - where we are split into four smaller groups and have to complete a mini circuit of some sort, first team to finish and get into a plank wins. We were JUST in the lead and I was the last one running back so in my haste/desire to win I wasn't looking at where I was going…

Hello :)

Definitely feel the cold a lot more! Also went from a size 6 shoes to a size 4 - my feet were a place I had never even considered were 'fat' and would be somewhere I would lose weight!!

Did you not get some kind of induction? Usually when you join a gym you are given an induction where a member of staff asks you about your goals, shows you how to use various machines and sets you a program to follow if you want one. Usually there will be members of staff around - you could ask one of them to show you the…

I usually make banana bread in a similar way but with flour and baking powder instead of oatmeal - will try these out tomorrow for a change. Has anyone other than the OP tried them?

Everyone is different - some people log all activity as their lifestyle is set as sedentary or it's stuff they didn't used to do before trying to lose weight/get fit. I try not to judge what others are doing. Though for me I agree with the OP, unless I am doing it AS MY WORKOUT I don't log it, I determine that by if I…

Also had no idea this was something that was 'up for debate', I eat raw mushrooms often.

Mine is from my first 10k, so back in August I believe it was. I have actually gained about a stone since then :(

Really wanted to get 2013 off to a flying start and am frustrated that I can't do more - seeing so many others posting about what they have done and their plans for the future etc, but I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and the gym was shut today so I was limited. I only managed a 260 calorie burn in 30 minutes on the…

I have reread the post and it makes a little more sense now OKC - A place. Shelsea - The OPs real name I presume. Cubbies - Some kind of cubicle in the gym to store things? We don't have them in my gym, we use lockers. The people moving things - The OP presumes they were planning on stealing said things. As others have…

Am I the only one that doesn't understand this thread at all? Cubbies? Shelsea? People moving things? OKC? What?

"Eat breakfast like a king" Never been a fan of eating first thing, I prefer just a cup of tea but after seeing everyone on the planet extol the virtues of a good breakfast I started eating one - for around six months I ate a 300 calorie breakfast (which is a lot when you are on a 1200/day diet!) and hated everything about…

I was off the wagon for around a week before Christmas so have managed about 6lbs - HUGE gain considering how long it took me to lose it and how long it will take me to lose it again, it's not like a few weeks hard work will undo that. Totally deserved though, I didn't even try and eat sensibly and I didn't work out at all.

Mushrooms - couldn't touch them, horrible, slimey, tasteless things. Now have them all the time as they are a great low cal way to bulk up any meal!!

Just signed up, looking to add friends :)

Used to love this show and actually, I still do, but this season has just got silly. The plot has more holes than my old jumper, the characters aren't true to themselves and where it used to be subtle and let storylines play out it's now just in your face action and wrapping massive storylines up before you've even had…

5 foot 32 Start weight: 220lbs Current weight: 140lbs Goal weight: 119lbs Before at my brothers wedding in 2007 After at a friends wedding in 2012 - I actually weighed 125lbs in this pic, I lost 99lb and have now regained 19lbs over the last three months or so, trying to get it back under control!

Running. Not on the treadmil though, running on the treadmil is one of my least favourite exercises!! Why is it SOOOOO different?
-
Hot chocolate drinks - the great thing is you can get low cal ones like mint options that are around 40 calories but you can take your time enjoying it and taking in the smells and flavour - 40cals of actual chocolate would be gone in one or two bites! You can also make your own with reduced fat cocoa powder from tesco and…
