  • This was working fairly well for me. However here are some issues I've noticed: 1. If I walked 10,000 steps with my Fitbit, I'd earn about 300 calories for the day. When I walk 9000-10,000 steps with AW it gives me back about 60 calories... 2. I've now started using HeartWatch because it's a much more powerful biometric…
  • I think i sorted it out, maybe. I unpaired my Apple Watch from being the step tracker then re added it. It's showing MFP iOS adjusted calories, 201 calories for about 5900 steps which is roughly what I got for Fitbit. We'll see if it continues
  • I have added it in sources multiple times. I've even turned all categories on/off to try and reset it. Reset both apps also. The MFP app doesn't load on my watch either. I'm using the newest iOS and Watch OS 3
  • Here's my issue I switched from a Fitbit charge HR a few days ago. With Fitbit, the roughly 8-10,000 steps a day I did at work would be credited to MFP as about 2-300 calories of exercise throughout the day. With Apple Watch I have ~8000 steps showing but no calorie adjustment. In diary settings there is no mention of the…
  • I've got health app sharing ALL data with MFP read/write.
  • I just got an Apple Watch. Switched from the Fitbit charge HR. On a typical working day I'd get around 10,000 steps just at work. Then do another ~3000 steps in exercise depending on the workout. My steps at work alone with the Fitbit would get me about 300-400 extra calories in a day, especially on the days I didn't do an…
  • I'm curious about this too. I am routinely coming under my calorie goal for the day, by a few hundred but plateau in weight loss, sometimes going up by maybe 0.5kg here and there. I'm wondering whether I'm putting too my in the daily calorie burn from steps that Fitbit gives me into myfitnesspal. I walk on average 8-9000…
  • No I've had it for about two months now. My soccer sessions are pretty consistent, always in the 6-700 range. Manually adding badminton gives me a huge calorie estimate compared to when it has auto detected my movement in the past as three separate games. I'm not only counting sweat but also how tired I feel, how fast my…
  • I did check @NancyN795 and there's only one meal for dinner I. The Fitbit app registering at 2700 calories. Mfp still says only 1400. I checked again today and mfp still shows correct and Fitbit is way off. It's not a big deal because I know what I ate, but my OCD is driving me nuts seeing that HUGE red bar in my Fitbit…
  • How long is your HR up in each run though? Because of a run is only taking you 5min it may not register. My auto-recognition times are anything greater than 15min so that it doesn't count me walking across the road to the cafe as "a walk". Maybe look into the stats of your average run to see why it may not auto detect
  • only time will tell mate. I got mine a little over a week ago now and while it's a bit soon to say if I'm shredding the weight off I can already tell I'm more active. If you are someone who competes with yourself and is motivated by objective data of your performance (like me!) then this thing will work wonders for you.
  • Here's my question though Yesterday being a Sunday I was pretty lazy. Walked to the gym, did my workout, walked to the shops then home. All up my CHR gave me 38min of activity as I'd set the stopwatch for the gym where it said I was in whatever zones for about 30 of those minutes (strength training is notoriously spotty…
  • Haha same here! I'm so OCD that I was playing around with all my settings, now, since I have negative adjustments it looks I've sat on the couch the entire day..... Hopefully it gets sorted soon!
  • I've been playing social badminton. About 15min of activity followed by about 15-20min sitting (waiting for another game). I found the Fitbit tracked my activity based on my HR as three separate ~17-20min activities which I later categorized as badminton in the app. You aren't really doing a lot of steps but your HR goes…
  • Thanks @NancyN795. I'm sitting on the "low battery" warning now and have been all day, so far no issues. I turned off All Day Sync as well, so I'm not sure if that made a difference. I also only synced maybe 4 times today (I went on a hike and left the phone in the car ;) I guess I'll find out tomorrow if the battery dies…
  • Yeah @NancyN795 I didn't think it was normal either. Problem is I bought my Fitbit on eBay as a BNIB sealed item. I have no suspicions that it was tampered with, the packaging was quite obviously brand new when I got it. However in terms of proof of purchase thats where I'll have trouble since I doubt Fitbit will recognize…
  • That's not a bad idea. I just got mine yesterday and charged it for two hours then wore it. This morning I noticed after waking up at 730, going for a walk and coming back around 10, that the battery showed "low" on the app. That couldnt be right, worse than the Apple Watch at that rate. I plugged it and the charge icon…
  • @NancyN795 yeah just noticed that it logged a 22:18 walk for me when I walked to the markets in the morning. Your right though, it may not log golf since I walk for about 2-3min which can be strenuous given the undulating terrain but then stop for about 2min to play the shot (or look for my ball...). I think I'll just use…
  • @NancyN795 thanks for reply. I think I realized what I had done with the MFP. When I first got the Fitbit I was too excited and didnt change the tracker in MFP from iPhone to Fitbit tracker. I played the round of golf a few hours BEFORE I got the Fitbit, so all my steps were recorded on the phone. 12,000 steps were added…
  • Hi I just bought a Charge HR yesterday. I have a similar question. I've been using MFP for years and have been enjoying the step tracking feature on my iphone. I recently played a round of golf (18-holes, walked the whole course). My steps on my phone said 12,000 steps and MFP credited me with 651 calories. 1. If I log…
  • Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to go with the "feeling" approach. Sometimes the walk doesn't feel too bad (if I don't have anything in my bag). But sometimes, especially when it's warm outside and I have my laptop in my bag, the walk gets my calves and feet hurting so by the end of it I'm sweating a bit as well. I…
