2 words: Nutrient Timing
-
Go -30 and see how you feel. About a month or so before your surgery, stop using fish oil. Fish oil thins the blood and could cause complications.
-
slow and steady wins the race.
-
Awesome! This isnt for everyone and sure we have different goals and such. It looks like youve found what works for you. when you plateau give this a shot! It may be what brings you out and on your way again.
-
Start with the higher number for a few weeks. See what your stats look like in a month. ;)
-
These are static numbers unless you want to bulk. So dont eat back calories. If you are lifting and looking to add lean mass, set MFP to TDEE and eat back lifting exercise calories on that day. That will put you in a surplus.
-
Why fast at all? IMO you can lose just as much fat while eating as many meals as you want a day. IF has its bonuses but this is usually seen in leaner individuals, 15% and under. It's not a magic bullet. IMO you should take up a good 3x5 or 5x5 program 3x a week. Eat about 2k cals a day. High protein, moderate carbs and…

I'm crazy sexy....but not on any diet per se....
-
I believe Martin talks about BCAAs first thing. The true beauty of IF isnt about the fast. Its about the nutrient timing. Read Andy Morgans site http://rippedbody.jp and learn it. Or Google Silverhydra cheat Mode.

I only allow myself on the forums once a month. If anyone has questions about my methods they simply PM. Otherwise ill sit here and read everything all day and argue and say crap like "your doctor told you WHAT?!?!?" ;D
-
People give different foods a bad name BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW WTF THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! ;D Learning when to eat is just as important as what to eat.
-
Hoping the Doc has a nutritional background. Does he understand that Protein spikes insulin too? Also, and I dont mean this to be rude towards your doctor but, what physical condition is he/she in? Did he/she explain that if you lift weights you could curve the insulin issues? Most T2 diabetics can be reversed with simple…

From day to day yes, sodium will effect water retention. Balance all your minerals.
-
This. And keep eating the same way till you adjust and dont lose anything for several weeks. Lifting weights right?
-
Oh boy. Heres the deal with the 3 methods: Do what works for you. MFP if followed correctly will work just as well as IPOARM and the other one. The true winner is the person who is most consistent using whatever method they want. Put down your guns and lets all have a drink. ;D
-
Both IPOARM and MFP have similar methods if you use a scheduled routine. IPOARM using my info: Male 38 5'6" 133lbs 11%BF TDEE 2400 20% cut appx 2k Sun rest 2000 Monday lift 2000-200=1800 Tuesday rest 2000 Weds lift 2000-200=1800 Thursday rest 2000 Friday lift 2000-200=1800 Saturday rest 2000 Weekly TDEE= 16800 Weekly…

Of course youll gain. Your body adjusts to its current conditions. You eat low enough youll experience lower BMR/RMR resulting in needing less calories for maintenance. As soon as you bump cals the body will attempt to use what its given to restore what its lost. Problem is if you arent working on maintaining lean mass…

Can you PM me your stats and i'll get you started? Age Height Weight Body Fat% Occupation Workout routine Gym status? Metabolic disease or physical impairments?

Don't confuse weight loss with fat loss. Both are very different. Energy balance is paramount in the scheme of things. OP what's your goal? A) look good clothed? B) look good naked?
