Let's break this down. Thyroid issues will hinder weight loss. Eating too little while doing too much will hinder weight loss. How much do you currently weigh? On a scale from 1-10, rate sleep quality. On a scale from 1-10, rate how amazing your overall mood is. On a scale from 1-10, rate how mindful you are when you eat.…

Make sure calories are in check. If you're just having a shake for breakfast and lunch, then destroying a high calorie, nutrient dense dinner...maybe... Honestly it doesn't sound like you're eating enough if that's all you have during the day.

If energy balance is too extreme, OP may still not lose the stubborn belly fat. Everyone throws CICO at "fat loss" but if this person is in too extreme of a deficit, hormones could be out of whack etc etc etc. If OP eats more, increasing metabolic work load like HIIT or complexes, this increases blood flow and could help.…

It's one day. If you've been consistently moving toward your goals, one day with your family won't crush it. Enjoy some pie! Eat all the turkey!

Large Dole pineapple juice can Small Goya coconut milk can Mix these in a pitcher in the fridge. Mix 6-8oz of that mixture with a banana, 1c kale or spinach, 1-2 scoops vanilla whey. Delish! The pineapple and coconut milk contains digestive enzymes. This is a higher fat shake and it's excellent first thing in the AM.

Just a quick note that I have no affiliation with HWSNBN! We had a falling out when he tried to claim who wrote the last iteration of IPOARM. In fact he caused me some good friendships on this forum. I have no sources for that fact though. ;)

Completely agree! I could list about 30-40 awesome trainers that happen to be women. Molly is getting ready to release 20+ hours of seminars. Looks to be a great buy!

Molly Galbraith also runs Girls Gone Strong. Get involved in their groups on Facebook if you can. Huge community!

Anything by Alwyn Cosgrove and Lou Schuler. The amount if info they pack in each book covers everything you need. Their books start at $8 and the latest cane out last week for $15. BMI is useful when you can't measure or use calipers. Once you're able to use those tools, I wouldn't worry about it. BMI is useless the leaner…

"So, dehydration probably isn’t responsible for the majority of your hangover, but it might give you a banging headache. These are an unfortunate by-product of your body attempting to restore fluid levels. Your blood vessels narrow, restricting the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain, which then tries to compensate by…

It's context driven really. Chances are you'll maintain a good portion of lean mass as long as you are resistance training while dieting down. Shoot for at least 1g/kg of body weight, spread out throughout the day. Protein has other uses in the body besides maintaining skeletal muscle so it's probably one of the most…

Hire one of the coaches in your gym for a session or two, to teach you the basic movements. As you lose weight, your center of gravity changes and you'll want to prioritize bodyweight exercises first. Create good static balance and improve range of motion before you add resistance to your regiment. In the beginning, a good…

You train for 12h 3x a week for football. What are the limiting factors you not naturally getting bigger? Let's unpack this a little. Some metabolic math has your BMR around 1900 +/-. With that activity you really could hit the upper limits of 3000-3200kcal a day and allow the hormones of an 18 year old to do its job. Add…

So long as you get your nutrients for the day, meal frequency doesn't really matter. I used to force-feed myself breakfast and always crashed around noon. For the past 6 years I've been skipping breakfast and I'm definitely more productive in the morning because of it.

You're asking someone who's never done those things before, to completely turn her life on its head and start with 10 different habits.... His success rate is 3% or less on this suggestion alone. Address the limiting factors. Not moving enough. Start walking a little each day. Eating too much processed food. Remove a…
