MFPs method asks that you eat back calories and by doing so brings the deficit to a better level. IPOARM method already has that activity in the number so you wouldnt eat back the calories. Both methods work just fine.

Confused as to why OP didnt PM me about this. The spreadsheet is a great tool if you can figure it out. Haybales put a lot into it! Figure out TDEE without the cut by entering Goal weight as current on F2F. Cut 20-30% off that number and set MFP.

Makes perfect sense. I'll break it down for you. You burn about 1800-2800 calories a day (maybe more depending on height, weight, body fat, activity) Stasis is eating the same calories you burn and thus staying the same. Once you start eating at a deficit your leptin levels start to fluctuate and within the first week you…

Also looking at your diary I can tell you that for every gram of carb ingested it pulls 3-4g of water. Lower carbs to below 150g. Raise Protein to about 120g. Fats should be essential ie: Oils, nuts etc....

OP what is your routine? PM me.

I whoosh post refeed. So i'll cut calories for a while and cut and cut and cut then one day i'll hit carbs like a champ then whoosh.....drop on the scale. I've had better results with a cyclical 3 day refeed per week in the past so thats where i'm heading now. Now my schedule is Sat-Sunday 1600-2k Monday, Weds, Friday 3000…

The yoga should be okay as a form of recovery but think about this for a second: If you are eating below TDEE and not supplying the body with the proper building blocks to repair itself to lose fat/repair muscle, where then would you put your rest days? The schedule you have would be perfect if you were eating above or at…

All of the above. I eat anything below my TDEE to lose weight. I eat healthy above TDEE for body composition. A regular lift day http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/Helloitsdan?date=2012-11-19 A regular rest day http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/Helloitsdan?date=2012-11-18

Its a cardio machine so its working your lungs and heart. Your legs will feel it but its just like walking around really. Use your body for resistance training and just go for a walk after. Google Nerd Fitness Batman for great bodyweight workouts.

This one is easy! 1) live your days during November, December and January like you would any other day of the year. 2) On Thanksgiving eat as much as you want (youve been dieting for a while now and youll probably lose a pound the next day due to leptin etc...) 3) In January get to the gym early because of all the new…

You are at ideal weight for women 5'5". Cals burned don't look accurate but its hard to say without data from an HRM.
-
Personally I dont think a guy should be eating 1200 ever. More like 1600-2100 daily for fat loss.
-
So what you are saying is you tend to eat about 1400-1600 daily? Why not just set the diary to 1500 and eat that daily instead of 1100+whatever you burn? TDEE is probably about 2000-2500 if you are 5'3" and up while being active daily.

Good for you! I love it when people actually make it work and you are one of the few that have! You could lose the same amount of weight at a 30% cut from 2k just by increasing how many steps you take. That gives you another 200cals. I have yet to chastise anyone. In fact my friends list grew about 10 people by posting…

OP read this site http://rippedbody.jp and read the whole thing. It's a good source for what you can do to lean out while gaining lean mass. The program on Ripped Body is only 3 hours a week working with compound moves and almost no cardio but youll get better results. Enjoy! =D

P-ratio is genetic but can be manipulated through resistance training and some forms of fasting. For instance I can eat 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fats. If I eat above TDEE while remaining sedentary this gets stored as energy for later. If I lift before eating above TDEE I have a better chance of effecting p-ratio to…

I love how we have 2-3 of these posts going right now. Truth is you dont see a lot of people who eat more and weigh less making forum topics like "Eating 1200 cals. anyone else doing this?" Its because we tend to get results and are happier with those results. Why is it so hard to imagine eating at a normal allowance and…

I'd put on something that complimented that dress and we can hit the town!

X-factor and genetics? You cant gain on a deficit.... You look amazing but I cant fathom gaining anything on a deficit. It's nearly impossible unless you are Obese 2 or 3.
-
How long did you diet before trying the higher calories? I had a woman who I did numbers for, she gained at first then maintained then lost all on the sane number. Could it be a reduced RMR/BMR?
-
I'd motorboat that ****er!!!!!
-
A coworker of mine was pushing 350 at 5'2" and ate about 500-1k a day. she had quite the sedentary life except at work where she would break out in sweats when she walked around too much. Reduced RMR/BMR is a ***** but it can be reversed.

Props IA!
