I'm just a firm believer that if you give fat a reason to exist beyond its hormonal state then it will. This happens by overeating and not effecting p-ratio with activity or under eating and burning some off then eating above TDEE for any given day without effecting p-ratio. Even people with EDs, metabolic disease etc can…

The idea of it is when dieting you drop leptin levels. When eating at TDEE for 2 weeks you replenish or raise leptin up to allow fat loss. Then just cut slightly after the maintenance.

Therapists help people with EDs with cyclical dieting. It helps break them from the mental blocks that create the ED in the first place. Not that she has an ED but just saying. So she eats low on one day then replenishes all her nutrients and EFAs the next. Pro body builders and fitness models do this as well. You are…

I was about to suggest 2k a day when looking at your numbers. It works. Just know that its a fat loss program so youll lose inches before pounds.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 do the steps on here. Forget 1200 because it isnt your number. Just by posting your BMR I can tell it isnt your number so forget 1200. Its Not your Number Do the steps in the road map. Eat at TDEE for 2 weeks then resume your cut at…

You didn't read it right. Lol don't get mad. I lost the majority of my weight between may 2011 and September 2011 eating 2200 cals 3x a week and 1600 cals on rest days. Metabolically it's perfect for my height and size. The up days helped balance leptin levels and maintain LBM. The low days allowed me to lose fat. You can…

Below is a visual on how 1200 calories works.......

I'm not addressing those people. I'm addressing overweight to obese III people who want to lose fat without having to eat too few calories. Also to address actual starvation situations, if you add in calories above those with extremely reduced BMR/RMR then they will gain fat. In fact their bodies are primed to gain fat in…

Me? I'm 5'6" with a BMR of appx 1590 and a TDEE that ranges from 2k-2900 depending on the week and activity. I just pinpointed this number after months of testing it out. I'm now ready for my winter bulk. When I lost my weight I went from 175 down to 135 in about 3-4 months eating between 1600-2200 cals a day and working…

One of the nice things about cyclical dieting, eating high on lift days and low on rest, is that it keeps leptin high all week because of the carb refeeds and higher cals. So on lift days you are actually using the nutrients you put in for recovery and its not getting stored as fat. If you had say....40% body fat then a…

I have done 100s of numbers for old, young and in between. I've only had 1 BMR come out below 1200. She was 21 and 4'11". If you get out of bed and you want to get in good shape and look good naked then you wont eat 1200 calories. If you want to lose "weight" and you arent too concerned with how you look at the end of your…

Not a good tool for a beginner. Youll get confused and possibly screw up. If you decide to use that calc youll want to make both pie charts the same % so you can see a direct cut. The first page gives you the maximum amount of cals you can burn while maintaining fat loss. So workout days will be no more than -20% and rest…

I would think that as long as on your up days you are eating sufficient calories and healthy fats to resupply....

Insanity if you dont have the equipment, p90x if you do. Both are fat loss programs. Be sure to eat right and rest.

1600-1800 is a good start for most... =D I prescribe 1600-1800 to almost anyone 5'2" and up and take into account activity. The higher the activity the higher the number. Do your numbers here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

I look good naked! How you doin?

Seems to be working well. Why give your body the absolute minimum?!

Whats happening here?!

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I've pulled many a people out of the 1200 pit. Read this and understand that 1200 probably isnt your number unless you are 80 years old, under 4 foot tall with ZERO activity. That is unless you are eating back ALL burned calories.

What a load of crap! Go for it OP! Enjoy not eating carbs after lunch..... To lose weight its simple! Eat at a slight deficit from TDEE. Lift weights 2-4x a week. Walk. PS most of my weight was lost eating a bowl of cereal in bed every night (2-3 cups worth).

OP check out http://rippedbody.jp and look for the holidays link. Also www.leangains has a good article on it as well. The thing is if you have been cutting for a while then youll be fine eating a 3k meal. In fact you may want to do it once a month for leptin sake.
